It's tough to name specifics here (lots to explore, and you should wander down main streets & side streets to get the vibe.) If I had to guide you, I'd say try Felipe's, L.A. Burdick, & Club Passim.

Walk quickly and don't stop in the middle of the sidewalk for a picture. Visit The Tannery, grab a coffee and grab food over at veggie planet! So good!

It is all about Harvard. You can find tons of cafes , restaurant and make a nice walk in campus. You can also take a walk near the Charles River .

You would be making a mistake by not dining here: Border Cafe , Charlie's Kitchen, Mr. And Mrs. Bartley's Burgers to name a small few. Choose any street and find a great restaurant .

Aside from having world-class education , Harvard is also situated in an amazing environment. Take a tour of the school and don’t miss the Yard where you’ll see the Memorial Church and Peabody Museum .

This is a terrific spot to start an architectural tour . Within an easy circumference of this intellectual center, you can find three centuries of Cambridge architecture .

Nice place to walk around at night or even during the day. Lots to see including Harvard lawn and many options to eat or get a quick bite as well .

The 25th annual Harvard Sq. Holiday Crafts Fair features vendors from all over the world. Dubbed a "high energy alternative marketplace with a great soundtrack," and a "party where you can buy stuff!"

Talented street performers , numerous food options, walking Harvard tour - cannot ever get tired of Harvard square.

Loved the tour run by the Harvard students; suggested donation is $10 per adult & $20 per family. The tour ends near a student run shop where 10% of purchases is put towards assisting students.

Along with Newbury Street, Harvard Square is a great place for people watching and style inspiration.

Super lively place . Amazing restaurants right when you get off the stop (i.e. Russell House, which I really recommend going to).

A lot of people don't know this, but Harvard encourages unemployed people to audit its classes in order to improve their job prospects. Try it!

Save yourself the hassle and expense of parking in the Square -- Go park at Alewife for $7 and ride the T if you plan on shopping and/or dining.

Amazing food in the area. There's also some specialty shops if you're looking for gifts

Major subway and the bus station makes your life easier to reach here and go somewhere else. No need to mention Harvard University nearby and Harvard Coop Bookstore

Try the Taleggio Polenta at Nubar Restaurant . They have outdoor dining and one of the coolest bars I've ever seen.

Fast paced and full of tourists . Good food and coffee . Great bus and subway service.

There are 3 great burrito joints here: Anna's near Brattle Square, Felipe's on Mt Auburn St near JFK St, and Boloco on Mt Auburn St by Holyoke St
