Some cast members look throughly through your purse . Some just glance in and wave you through. You never know who you're going to get.
Go to the lost and found. You can also buy tickets there.
If you have multi-day tickets be prepared to take a picture upon entering the first time. And sign the back of them.

If the lines for the ticket booths are too long on a busy day, buy your tickets at Guest Services between the lockers and the Disneyland turnstiles.
Ticket prices usually go up in May. Watch Disney sites and blogs because the announcement happens quick.
There's more surface area in the esplanade and downtown Disney than the entirety of Disneyland.
Scan for strollers. When you get to actually scan your ticket, strollers are routed thru another gate separate from non stroller wielding folk.
Since 4/15/13 and Boston, the check point is more thorough and slightly longer

This "area" BLOWS! Bring your patience if you ever are scheduled to work here. Shifts can feel like forever if you work too fast.
Don't forget to bring goldfish and pretzel M&M's!!

If you can afford it, and you live in the area, go for the year pass. That way, you can avoid this bland signage and all the tourists .
