Wantan Mee . Fill up form & place order @ the cashier . There is no chilli option; it's add-your-own. Spicy ! Remember to order a cold drink (lime juice , water chestnut , barley) as standby :-D
Top of my pork lard list; it's free flow!!! The chilli abuses my nose enough, the noodles are chewy, the sauce is fragrant and "invisible"! Usually you can see black sauce/ketchup/whatever, but!? =D~
A real gem of wantan noodle as they still use lard oil. The chilli sauce is quite unique but don't think it make taste better. Love to let wantan and noodle soak the soup for a while before eat.
Be prepared to share tables during peak hours. It means u get to order & eat much quicker, instead of waiting in queue :-P
Having takeaway . Char siew and Wontons are tasty. Love the hot chili sauce , It’s hot and yummy. Good for dipping and adding to noodle . I don’t like the soup taste. Noodle is round and thick.
Good stuff! Noodles are chewy "q", fragrant sauce & wantans, soup tastes light & old-school. Big bowl comes with 6 wantans, small has 4.
Famous for their wanton noodles , and super spicy chilli , and their chilli was super spicy !
Noodle texture good & chewy. Char Siew lean, Wonton authentic . Chilli sauce is Warm Hot, beware! Soup is good.. Make sure its served hot, not warm though. Overall the meal is good, will return again.
Noodles chewy but slightly hard for my liking. Soup is good. Wantons are tasty! CHARSIEW IS AWESOMEEEE! But, since the wantons are nestled at bottom, they get salty - soaked in gravy for too Long. :(
The super spicy chilli seems to overpower the taste of what an authentic wanton mee should be. Probably not top pick for wanton mee in the East.
Not d best wanton noodles in town but chilli has a special kick. For non chili eater, there's ketchup at a counter. Noodle n side Dishes like veg r tad oily. Go before 6 pm on weekends to avoid Q.
This chili has a interesting colour and consistency. Also has an amazing ability to swell (in a spicy way) in your mouth. Think twice before adding more.
Their chili is really no joke. The spicy kick does not come immediately, it comes after awhile and be sure to have some cold drinks on standby.
Wanton here vy vy vy delicious n the drinks are vy natural especially home-made barley and waterchestnut. Must try.
Everything was good in my opinion except for the soup that was too sweet. Also, do NOT touch the chilli ! And this is coming from a girl who adds chilli to everything she eats. Chilli doesn't go well !
Honestly, the noodle is springy & chewy enough to eat without the chili . Taste is pretty good.
Best Wan Tan Mee in Singapore (period). Chilli is super spicy - BE WARNED!
Malaysia also has a lot of varieties for wantan mee which also nicer than this. You guys really like to eat sweet do you?
Über spicy chili sauce . This is one place where I can't handle the hot level. Wanton is ok only.
A different twist to the classic wantan Mee . However the highlight here is the home made chilli .
Tastier noodles , great chilli sauce and meatier wanton makes this a better option than Fei Fei wanton mee which is also more expensive .
Photo speaks for itself! My all time favorite noodles & wantan!
The hot chilli is power. The boiled wantan is power. The mee is power. The bak po is also power. Super power!
My comfort food . Still so good!!
A better version of Fei Fei wanton mee , but the Chilli is the highlight.
Try the Wanton Mee - Chewy noodles which I like and with chilli you can add all you want
A Penangite approved of the chicken , duck and charsiew. Must be amazing.
The noodle is good. But even how good the noodle . The Lady at the cashier is RUDE. She need to improve CRM. It spoilt our mood even before we had our meal. Drink with out ice is only given 1/2 fill.
Fried wontons is good for snack
Take it easy on the chilli sauce as it's super spicy .
Fried wanton is fragrant and juicy. Eat it hot.
It's in the chilli . Noodles has a nice substantial bite n doesn't really taste like it's msg-laden. Drinks were a lil on the sweet side if u don't have a sweet tooth.
Their "new" soup tasted like Japanese miso/bonito flavour and seemed to be completely unrelated to wanton mee 's soup which should have anchovy 's umami. Overall taste experience not impressive.
The cashier gave me a pissed look when i presented $50 for my $9 meal. He gave me the look as if i am purposely making his life difficult. I will skip this place from now on.
Eng's noodle finally reopened after closing for almost 2 mths (since 28 Feb)!
Nice wan ton mee but cranky owners. Quite a turn off.
Luv the noodles ...n steam wanton ..
Tasty Wanton Mee but service is rigid and stingy.
Alternative Monday off day for 2014
Here for a quick brunch ..heard there are better wanton mee establishments that serve better food...auntie's service has improved slightly, i feel...
The fight ia how you can handle the super hot chilli , otherwise the wanton noodle was just ok.
Alternate Monday off timetable
Closed on alternate Mondays!
Be careful not to over-spam the chili or you'll be regretting like me.
Yes, I would say this fat auntie is very rude and should really improve her customer service, it's been quite some time since I eat there due to her "good service " anyway they don't care bah.
Opening hours 11am-9pm :)
Beware of the chili !!!
Salty Wanton and noodles .
Makes sense!
