Built in an old pharmacy , the bar is loaded with old antiques giving it a very unique feel. While the sun-room area can make it a bit warm, the inexpensive cocktails are all you need to cool off!

The bartenders are phenomenal who know their stuff and this place is perfect down to the ice in the drinks. Polite Provisions is a great place with great ambiance and an always interesting crowd.

Don't be afraid to go off-menu for the cocktails . All of the bartenders know what they're doing and will improvise something tasty if they're not too busy.

Love the old, art nouveau apothecary atmosphere here. Drinks are outstanding and surprisingly affordable for how well crafted they are (generally ~$8). Try the Spice Hunter!

Some people think this place is pretentious . I understand that, however, it easily has some of the best cocktails for cheaper than almost anywhere in San Diego. Worth going over any stupid speak easy

Get Amy as your bartender , nicest one I've had anywhere in ages. Ask her what she suggests for drinks and food from next door. I couldn't be happier.

They have a menu of over 90 cocktails and the punch bowls are so good. Soda & Swine is next door and you can bring over the food.

The drinks are amazing if the actual bar tender makes them. The girl and young guy never smile, introduce themselves or ask if your drink is ok. The Asian guy on the other hand knows his stuff.

This place is packed and don't try any of the beer cocktails . Try the Foxy Cleopatra. It's sooo good. I still think Craft & Commerce is way better than this place.

Was skeptical of the "cocktails on tap " but the ones I tasted were pretty damn delish. Order food next door @ Soda & Swine first, then grab a table over here for drinks.

Be forewarned I have never seen this place not crowded . That said they offer some very interesting cocktail choices. Good for date night winding down.

I wish they had more fresh ingredients to work with. I still like this place, and it's great to have in the neighborhood , but Craft and Commerce is still way better.

Don't be intimidated by the draft list and large selection of craft cocktails . Just commit to tasting a few of them each visit.

Fun! Fun crowd, prices good (everything is about $2 less than C&C). Service was waaaayyyyyy better and the crowd was less snooty. My bf says to beware that most of the beers are small pours-not 16oz.

Be careful... It can get pretty loud in there on a busy night ... There's a "sink" area towards the back with seating.
