Founded in 1863 to help preserve Union. Contains 60 bedrooms for members/guests. 15 U.S. Presidents have been members including Theodore Roosevelt who managed his early career here. Bldg dates to 1931
if you're looking for fantastic corned beef hash and original oil paintings of all the Republican presidents , this is your place.
I like the decor and the seating area is beautiful
Classy place for events but you need to be a member or know somebody who is.
We enjoy visiting the Union League Club for Socrates in the City events on occasion. The building is beautiful inside and out.
Civilized and simple setting, probably the smallest of the private clubs in the city .
Historic members only club with private dining & event space .
Coat and are tie required. No cell phones are permitted outside the designated phone booths .
They have a dress code. Won't let you in if you are wearing jeans
Smoked chicken salad might even be worth the price. Affordable mtg space if you have a membership.
Old and stuffy
The fruit platter is exquisite
they don't like females.

All around good food — get the Reuben, Park burger and mussels in curry Dijon. They also have a 'pour it yourself' drafts in their barrel room. On my to do list next time! - Melissa Yu
