2 drink minimum to sing Karaoke during peak hours. Cash only though but they do have an ATM inside. No food but you can order at the Japanese restaurant next door . Great song selections!
Go early in the evening before it gets too crazy if you want to sing a few songs. Also, don't forget to generously tip the KJ! You'll get to sing more if you aren't cheap .
This place has more soul in its little pinky than you have in your whole body. Come for KJs Frank & Jason. Come for the bartenders David, Jane, Toto, and Dustin. Stay for the singing. ????
If you tip generously enough you might be rewarded with a free drink token!
The top tier of karaoke in San Francisco. Song book is online at themint.net
Such an amazing staff ! Singers here are really good, and the song selection it's too bad
Oh and people are very receptive to Spanish songs here. A whole book dedicated to em :)
Fun venue with a lot of seating but prepare to wait 2 hours between when you put in your request and when you actually get to sing. No matter your plan, you will be drunk by the time you get on stage.
Good times. Crowd was great, bartenders were friendly , and vibe was great.
Go on Wed. or Thurs. nights when KJ Frank is there. He runs a tight ship and he really cares about making a good time happen!
Fun place for karaoke with an adjoining sushi restaurant that will deliver to you in the bar . Bartenders are nice.
Great song selection & great people. The crowd gets into the songs. I had an awesome night here.
This is a great place to have some drinks while listening to awful renditions of classic pop songs. You'll wait an hour to be able to do one song though.
Always tip the KJ for extra consideration at this or any karaoke spot . As always, hook up the bartenders . Lastly, REKINIZE DA MAYOR--- Me.
Takes a long time to get up there but the crowd is so fun!
KJ is a lil tough, but keeps the night going strong, and appreciates tips (and drinks!) don't be shy people, get up and sin your heart out!
Lots of solo wannabes singing to no one at all. Popular spot, but bad for groups. About 30 of u s reserved the space, but they gave equal weight to us and the crowd if 3-5 because they have to cater
This place is super fun but the DJ is the most arrogant asshole in the city . Don't tip, it's his job to put songs into the cue but be prepared for the attitude.
Great singers on the weekend... A place that will bring a smile to your face
This place would be top notch if they'd fire the karaoke DJ and hire someone that is friendly . We call the current guy the "Karaoke Nazi".
Def have to tip to get your song in, and even then, you might have to wait 2 hours.
Don't sing over the person with the mic. We don't want to hear the crowd. No matter how bad the singer is. STFU
Always a fun time. This is a one stage karaoke bar .
Pint of Anchor Steam - $4.75. Glass of club soda - $3.50. IN WHAT WORLD DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE???
The KJs are just trying to keep things moving, if they don't keep reminding people of when they are up, there would be a ton of downtime as people rook their time to get to the stage. Get over it
Cash only & a 2 drink minimum to sing... Good to know, right? (of course there's an atm in the corner...)
Such a great time, if you are okay with the karaoke drill sergeant.
Good for a laugh and obligatory embarrassment. Some clientele take it super-seriously - intimidating! Order from the sushi restaurant next door and they'll serve you in the Mint , actually not bad.
Sign up right away! The wait can get long.
Order food from the restaurant next door and have your food delivered to you in the bar .
Song queue filled up quickly, leaving no room to pick a song.
This is the best karaoke joint in SF! Karaoke 365 days/year, friendly staff , reasonable drinks, giant songbook and a supportive crowd.
Make a reservation for a party
Follow the rules... or Frank will spank you.
2 drink minimum . It's a karaoke bar not a bar with karaoke .
Home away from home. Good people, great drinks and music , music , music ! Read more
cheap drinks and über fun make up for the so-called karaoke nazi. he makes it fair . go to this night!
Of course Baddy is the mayor. It was a very nice memorial for you! You will be truly missed. Love you Buddy!
Great spot to sing or meet interesting people like Zach
Cash only ! Tip frank .
SF Weekly's Best Of 2011 Winner - Reader's Poll - BEST KARAOKE BAR
I'd been there for 5 minutes when someone said "you haven't ordered 2 drinks, you have to leave" It was really weird, possibly racist of them.
Make sure to bring cash. No cards allowed!
There are still corners of San Francisco that feel special.
There are TV screens so you can watch the karaoke anywhere
Great karaoke !
Get a Bulleit with Ginger . It lacks ginger !
Very big song selection and cheap drinks
Tonight I learned that while it is outside of the Castro, this is a primarily gay bar . Still a blast for karaoke
Put your song choices in early!
Sound system was great and a big book with plenty of options for karaoke. Creepy second floor location well worth it! - Danielle Davis
They allow food & drinks, just no alcohol. One of the few karaoke places I've been that isn't 21 . Lots of fun, a bit expensive though. - Xochitl C
Insane karaoke spot in one of Japantown malls. They have karaoke songs in English, Japanese, and Spanish! Good Japanese whiskeys. Pretty wild crowd. I'll see you there. $1 per song. - Jeff Weinstein
Some of the best vibes in San Francisco. Old school cocktail goodness, without all the frou-frou. - Maykel Loomans
Cool little spot, I tried the pizza and they are outstanding, plus you can pay with cash for it (as opposed to cash only for drinks). Had a cold beer with my pizza but will be back to try cocktails. - Luis Olvera
