Some of the best yum cha in Sydney - be strong though and don't let those aggressive trolly ladies overwhelm you as soon as you sit down... you'll miss the good stuff that comes later...
Great variety and quality of food for Yum Cha (pretty authentic !). Prices are pretty reasonable. Get there early (no later than 11am on the w/e) and you won't have issues with queues.
It should be obvious, when choosing a restaurant in a big shopping mall , that the best way is to: 1 Get your queue ticket 2 Shop until you drop, you will have plenty of time 3 Eat 4 Shop more.
Extremely busy for weekend lunchtime. You may wait up to and hour. The Yum Cha is one of the best in China town though.
The evidence is right there. A mango pudding to end the meal. A must try. No fault on this place for Yum Cha .
Compared to the previous restaurants , the new owner have done a great job with the renovations. You wouldnt expect less from the people who own zilvers . Yum cha is great and dinner menu ample.
Reasonable yum Cha . Better than Marigold. Reasonable selection. You can park in the Market City car park .
The food is very good.. the waiter (ladies) are always in a bad mood. However, it's a nice place to eat Asian food
Come early (11am) if you want a table for yum cha !
Fast service ... even on a busy after CNY. Great yum cha ... must try Peking duck .
Quick and professional service . Best fillet beef in Chinese Sauce I have tasted anywhere!
Beef Foie Gras is epic! Superbly tender and completely addictive. Will return for this dish. Beautifully cooked pipis too.
Superb food, but our host was surly, unhelpful & treated us like peasants for coming in with a promo deal. Dishes also all came out at once.
Get there at 11 or 1130 avoid the mad rush. Nice varieties and good flavours.
You really only pay for the food at this place, it's above average but if you're treated like dirt as you step in, the food has to be really exceptional to come back to. Read more
Great yum cha . Good variety and fresh. Try the squid , beans, dumplings , mango pancakes and egg tarts .
Best get here before 12pm for weekend yum cha or you'll have to wait 20-30 moneyed for a table.
Great seafood but the menu items can be pricey .
The mango and cream pancakes things are to die for..!
Great Yum cha . Super fast service .
The eight is my hands down favotoite yum cha !
Have the prawn and sesame wrap thing.
The Eight offers discount parking at the Market City carpark if you are dining at the restaurant
Try the Stir fried live mud crab with ginger and shallots
Online reservation is not very reliable but show them the confirmation mail at the hostess table and they will sort
Treated like a 2nd class citizen for having a Cudo voucher . They also lost our reservation .
Delicious food but the sanitary standard is appalling - oily floors, waitress notebook on toilet , open sanitary bins..... Pity
Try the sesame prawn . It's the best!
Must get prawn wonton !
If you go between 11am and 2pm, you can get parking downstairs for $4
Beef fois gras is so tender. Must order.
Yum cha !!
Terrible service, particularly cuz I use a Groupon Voucher . The dimsim looks bad taste cold. Charged me 2.50 per person for tea , but no choice of what tea I want. Zilver is better, at least the food.
Weekend yum cha
Try the steamed seafood gowgee... Read more
2013 Worst Lunar New Years EVER!! Even after 4 confirming phonecalls & an email: No drinks for 25mins. No food after 1+1/2hours. Had to walk out. Service = shocking. Toilets putrid. Will NOT return.
They only give you the expensive specials menu you've to ask for the normal menu
You're better off going to Zilver for yum cha . They trick you that you're next... You still have to wait in another area with the numbers being called.. So you will have to line up twice. Dirty place
An hour wait for our food ... no thanks, not coming back here in a hurry. There's plenty of other great places in Chinatown!!
Yum cha is great but don't go for dinner . Service is slow and food is average.
The service here is unbelievably bad! $300 meal and waiters were hostile and useless with incessant food trolleys rattling past. Avoid this place!
Prawn crackers are for decoration only do not consume!!
The trolley cars take forever to come. And the service is sucks!! No second time
Terrible service. Waited for an hour for tea service, 100 of waiters and waitress won't care about you. Poor attitude.
Terrible service, cold yum cha . Spanner crab and black bean pipis were below average. You have to pay $1 for discounted parking . Would not take anyone here.

The spare rib broth (特色骨汤锅) is delicious. Very fresh, high quality ingredients, especially love the kurobuta pork (黑毛豬五花肉). Good service. Free ice cream dessert. - J
Roast Pork with 5 spice so good & duck dumplings with star anise amazing - Jacqui Bonner
yum cha! Really good! A bit more expensive than in Chinatown but worth it! - Tom Pistol
Great spot for Sunday yum cha. Dumplings are great, but mango pancakes aren't the best in town. - Samantha Hutchinson
Souvenirs heaven with cheaper price are available in the basement wet market - carmen chew kah mun
