Arlington Central Library

Arlington, the geographically smallest county in the United States , used to be part of DC, but was returned to Virginia in 1846 when no one could figure out how to build a bridge over the Potomac.

Quiet study room upstairs is the best.

Wednesdays can get noisy as there are a lot of kids activities . The sound carries upstairs so be mindful of that when you want some quiet time upstairs

Several self-scan check outs available or else there is at least one librarian available to help

Lots of rooms you can reserve on the main floor and upstairs

Borrow a book or buy a book from Friends of Library sale, I never leave empty-handed

Reserve a study room 2-3 weeks in advance. They fill up quick!

Laughter Yoga Monday nights at 6:30. Yes you can laugh at the library !

High school TAB meets in the rabbit hole on the first Tuesday of the month!

Visit the Art Gallery on the second floor. Then find a great art book in the 700s and check it out. Read more

Ditto on the power strip advice...outlets are not convenient. And the chairs aren't the most comfortable . They do have a great database of grants for non-profs.

My boyfriend especially enjoyed their wide selection of comic books .

It's not always the quietest but it's still a good place to study.
