The spot to grab a quick bite when driving from DC to Charlottesville friendly service , authentic home cooked food , & of course BBQ . I have never been disappointed with anything. Well cooked steaks .
The food was delicious and plentiful . Staff was great! Get the 1/4 rack and pork . Hush puppies were good, try them with vinegar
The hush puppies are huge. Definitely mix the mild sauce with their vinegar . Staff very friendly .
Recommend: Brisket , collards , and the fries . Coleslaw and potato salad were very mayo-heavy.
The "small" basket of fries was huge. BBQ pork was moist and tasty. Use the mild and the vinegar BBQ sauce together for optimal taste.

This place has really gone down hill . BBQ is chewy and waitress says ribs are too. Maybe they are cooking the meat at a temp that is too high, drying out the meat, and heard a microwave click shut. :(

Great eggs benedict, belgian waffles, and fried green tomatoes. Friendly service. Sometimes they have live music. Bonus is the antique store is right by and is fun to look through. - Mia S
