Awesome skiing . Lots of fast lifts and challenging terrain. Most of the mountain is skiable if you are advanced. Lots of locals have season passes though.
The most challenging and therefore most awesome ski resort . Everyone is good and everyone is having the time of their lives. Take the gondola all the way up for great scene of views .
It's fantastic but comparing to other ski-in ski-out resorts , Cliff Lodge to the Creek Road trail is extremely inconvenient - you need to go up and there is no other way around. The rest is great.

A must visit whenever you’re in Salt Lake City . This place is just so good and Oktoberfest is amazing.
Park on access road , ski to Tram , ski non-stop face shots until crowded , then ski High Baldy until you can't anymore. Or ski the double all day @AltaBird - Keyhole to High Baldy - best 2 runs on mtn.
Their logo should be a snowy owl, and there should be more snowy owl related things at the resort . That being said, it's still one of the best resorts in North America

The closest ski resort to SLC. Go early. Slopes close around 4:30 PM and there is only one highway out. You may get stuck in winter weather as you leave.
To get to Alta, take Peruvian express , then take the tunnel on the left side off the lift, then take Baldy express.
Went for the weekend in the summer. The activities are fun and its great to get out of the heat in the valley!

When it's foggy or cloudy - ski Gad Valley. Gadzoom and Gad 2 give you plenty of trees AND steeps with superior visability to Mineral or Little Cloud.

If you are a greenie, start with either Big Emma or Bass Highway.
On a good day, head to mineral basin for amazing views and skiing !

There is a lot for carpools that might have room when the regular day lot is full.
Stay above 8500 in Peruvian or Gad on a warm day and still get chalky snow.
