American Civil War Wax Museum is a history museum Gettysburg located in United States.
297 Steinwehr Ave (Culp St.) Gettysburg , PA 17325 United States
A lot of extra detail in the exhibits like flickering fires, ships that creak back and forth on the waves and a great peek into the cellar of an underground RR house.
One of the best gift shops in town . Amazing book selection. A must stop every time I visit Gettysburg!!!
Could have been a Disney attraction . . . 30 years ago. It's a place that tries hard to be fun and informative, but it really needs an update. We had free passes, so it was worth going.
Some of the ghost tours say its haunted. A bit creepy, but otherwise not too bad. Find a coupon for it, it's BOGO. The show at the end is very informative.
The wax museum was under construction but the gift shop was open for business.
Very nice staff and nice informative place to visit
Really enjoyed visiting here in 2011 going back in 2013
The most bizarre, creepiest, and weird smelling place in Gettysburg...
A little overpriced.
Scared our 9 yr old.
Great museum and experience. The two dioramas and the train car experience were awesome. Totally worth it and check the combo tickets with diorama museum. - James C
One of our 10 Great Haunted Places Across the USA. This former orphanage is near the site of one of the Civil War's bloodiest battles and the building has its own tragic history. - USA TODAY
The tour guides make this museum. They add little bits of humor and are very knowledgeable. Recommend if you are in the area - Jennifer Kohler
Great way to learn about the battle at Gettysburg. A must see when visiting Gettysburg. - Teri Yarbrough
There’s a free guided tour and our tour guide was simply amazing. It starts at the top of the hour right by the entrance. - Stefanie Schindler
It was a fantastic dinner. The onion soup was outstanding. Great local wines. Rebel Red was a great treat. The food was all great and the service was outstanding. Great treat. - James C
