Grungy , greasy, full of angry polish men at all hours of the day and night, and standard food. But that's what makes the glider so perfect. The one thing worth getting is the porchetta (porketta )
Food was perfect diner fare . Kid loved the cheeseburger , my Monte Cristo was delish. Service is harried, but friendly . Found due to 4sq.
Fantastic for breakfast . Awesome old pictures of local feats on the walls. Favorite place to go eat with the kids and grandparents.
There are four sections for seating - two rooms in the back are hidden if you come in the front (though there is a back entrance, too!) seat yourself, when there's a lunch rush, the place gets packed.
Classic American train car diner . I ordered the porketta plate with fries and pickled beets and I felt like I was in the south. Good meal and quick service .
Hot turkey , sub with beef gravy . Unreal good. Sober, drunk, lunch ,dinner , can order it 3 times a day if I could!
Everything was delicious. I highly recommend a stop here. Particular the hot porketta and hot meatloaf .
Veggie Burger is best in Scranton.
Chicken Cheesesteak is excellent
They seem to bleach the place at 7:30am every morning so it stings your nose and ruins your meal. So eat at 6am-7am or later in the day.
Porketta was great! Pancakes were light, fluffy & delicious. Caution they may close earlier than advertised if it's slow.
The hot roast beef , fries , and gravy over everything is a must!!
