Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall

The place is huge and has a beautiful architecture . I would strongly recommend history buffs to visit this place. Lots of memorabilias and artifacts surrounding Chiang Kai-Shek's life are on display.

A must-see in Taipei. Beautiful surroundings, and the museum inside the memorial is one of my favorites, explaining the history of the ROC in Taiwan in a surprisingly politically-neutral way.

Very impressive building and park grounds. Nice place to take a walk and witness the unintentionally hilarious changing of guards every hour on the hour (a lá Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks).

Really love this piece of architecture , much better than Sun Yat-sen's Memorial Hall . Don't forget to watch the hourly changing of Royal Guards , though expect some Chinese crowds.

The National Performing Arts Centre is also within the same compound. A world class centre that has numerous international shows all year round.

This monument for Chiang Kai-shek is a must-visit. Inside, the massive Memorial Hall is where you'll learn about his life and the history of Taiwan . This place has its own MRT Station (Xindian line ).

Huge plaza with concert and theatre hall on each side. On the end it's memorial site . Very beautiful structures . Inside memorial hall there is a change of guards every full hour.

Get to the changing of the guard at about a quarter to the hour for a good vantage point. The last "change" finishes, not starts, at 17:00.

Nice spacious place to chill and also do some photography . Best time to come is in the late afternoon and early evening

One of Taipei's landmarks not to be missed. It covers a huge space but not as intimidating as Beijing's.

The history museum was interesting. The view from the highest point is worth all the steps.

When entering the hall take a right and stand by the fan to cool down :)
