A visit to Seattle just isn’t complete without a trip to the Space Needle Observation Deck. Towering 520’ above ground, the Observation Deck offers panoramic indoor and outdoor viewing of Seattle and the surrounding area, free telescopes and more!
400 Broad St Seattle , WA 98109 United States
I was hesitant about agreeing to what is basically a $50 brunch , but I'd be willing to come back. But then, woah! The food and overall experience were top notch. Great experience!!
Take the monorail from Westlake Center (a mall at 5th & Pine) to the Space Needle (only makes those 2 stops). It's $2.25/way, but an experience in itself, as it was built in 1962 for the World's Fair .
Even if you are terrified of heights like I am, go to the top! The elevator ride only lasts about 80 seconds and the views from the top are phenomenal! So worth overcoming fear of heights for a day!
Getting a "Spacelift" right now. Wait till construction is done to get your money's worth. Prices are the same but you don't get the full experience b/c some of the observation deck is blocked off.
Be prepared: you must buy tickets in advance, they get sold out quickly; once it’s time to go up, you’ll have to make a line - you might end up going up after your time slot. Views are worth it though!
Go early… especially in the summer.. it’s a little pricy to head up there but it’s worth it… it takes about an hr full spin and you can stay as long as you want
Absolutely worth a re-visit to see the new glass floor . Try to time your visit about a half hour before sunset so that you can see the city both light and dark.
Got to see the new rotating glass-floor. Great experience. But surprised how they don't seem to be able to manage the crowds/waiting times even with the timeslot tickets. Nice free (digital) pictures.
A must-do. Eating in the rotating sky city restaurant is great. Food is good and staff friendly . Go back at night for a totally different experience. Reservations required for Sky City .
Aside from the great views , who knew that you'd get "adult beverages " at the viewing platform . Definitely a nice plus. Had a great time and would do it again!
I think you should spend a few hours to see many different views of the city (sunny, rainy, foggy, dark, bright ) - gorgeous!
Really nice view from here, if you go on a day with few or no clouds you will be able to see the mountains .
Arrive between sunset and nightfall - then you get to enjoy the day scene (mountains are still visible) and the night scene (all of the awesome city lights)!
Small fee to go up, in downstairs lobby. Check-out the observation deck before the restaurant . Food is mediocre in restaurant . Seriously, i enjoyed The Stratosphere in Las Vegas better! Beautiful View
Even if you are afraid of heights is a must, don't forget to take a picture on the north side view
Take the monorail to or from 5th & Pine for only $2 each way. Plus you HAVE to see the view during the day & in the evening. Book a ressie at Sky City for dinner & get the Lunar Orbiter for dessert .
If going with the kids, make it more fun by having a scavenger hunt as you walk around the deck. Here's what we look for:- sea plane - skyscrapers - ferry- Lake Union- fountain - cruise ship
What an amazing view ... seating inside, Starbucks too.... made my day!
If you've not tried the sky Café in the space needle you need to try it!It's has amazing food and an excellent view .
Great view from the restaurant that actually turns slowly so your view changes from mountains to city to the bay .
View is great. Imagine it is best during sunset on a relatively clear day .
Definitely one of the most awesome views . I have been going there year after year for a while now.
Worth every penny. So much to see from so many unexpected angles.
Beautiful views make for a romantic evening
Visit it at day and night so you can see both views and make sure you visit it on a day that isn't super cold, rainy or cloudy ;o)
LL: "It can be pricey but you can see in every direction and is worth doing on a clear day ."
Stunning views . Worth it on a clear beautiful day. Nice romantic date idea
Download the app & use the spots, for 3d items, super fun
Very cool. if you don't like heights ( like me) stay towards the middle back of the elevator and hug the observation deck wall.
The view is awesome. And has an amazing screen wall
Amazing view up here! Worth visiting once because it is a tad pricey for an elevator ride.
Take some napkins with you! You can unexpectedly wet your pants how cool this place is!
Make sure it's a clear night or day when you visit to make the most of the observatory . Not as high up as it seems
Beautiful views of Puget Sound, Mount Ranier, and the city ... I felt like I was in an episode of the Killing.
Really worth the expensive ticket.! Try the automatic ticket machines to save time and avoid queues.
Try the deck on a clear day or night so you can see better.
I guess it's a must do for tourists but you can get similar views elsewhere. Although gift shop was best one out there...
Make sure you go on a clear day to be able to see Mount Rainier.
Don't look down! And go at sunset .
Fantastic 360-degree views and glass floor . Minimal wait. Fun store.
combo package with chihuly park is good deal .. buy online for $2 cheaper.. no need to print .. win!
If you are going to at the Seattle Center often (4-6x/year) get the annual pass. You'll save money and you are more likely to go UP, more often. Read more
Amazing experience . Free photos and virtual reality experience with your ticket
A must visit at least once while in Seattle.
It was absolutely wonderful!!! I went with my family but don't think it was worth 70 dollars for 4 people...
Head down to the glass floor level.
A fantastic addition to the Needle. Especially on a clear day .
It’s a must do but long line by 11am to get thru security and elevator . We got stuck on the rotating floor much longer then anticipated since one elevator wasn’t working.
Scenic views that will take your breath away!
