The beach is perfect for swimming -- sandy and calm . As a hotel guest you should def take advantage of borrowing snorkel gear or paddle boards.
If you want to get off the resort for a cheaper meal where locals eat , go to Seafood Bar and Grill. 8 minute drive North at Kawaihae.

Take a moment to walk Kauna'oa Bay in the morning as the sunrises . One of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the state .

Ovaltine Shake has been served at the Hua Tree restaurant since at least 1980. Give it a try.
Take your waffle to the Ice Cream bar for a wider variety of toppings.
