Woodyard BBQ

Look, it's far away from downtown KCMO but it's worth the trip. The sausage is great, the ribs are real good, and it feels and smells like a BBQ joint should.

Oh my gosh. I love BBQ and so that'll always be my primary reason for coming here, but I adore sitting outside and watching them smoke the meat. Rounds out the experience perfectly. One of my faves!!

Excellent ribs , and I tell you what else was good: the fries . Plenty of outdoor seating , which works well during this time.

Wings are smoky goodness. One basket is plenty. Location is cool--in an old house with lots of outside seating . Nice place to kick back.

If you want delicious, authentic kc BBQ but w/o corporate prices, no one does it better than Woodyard. Try the half pulled pork , half brisket sandwich w cheesy corn + beans. Up there w the Zman sammy!

The sliced brisket sandwiches tasted great and no long wait . Large soda is $2.95. Canned soda is $2.00 each. I would eat here more often if the prices were not slightly on the high side.

As Anthony Bourdain remarked, "it's all about the wood" at this hidden gem . Using apple , cherry and other non-traditional barbecue lumber, the result is a completely original flavor.

Very good, fast and easy. Friendly staff . Off the beaten path a bit.

Absolutely adore Woodyard BBQ

The meat was cold, the ribs and pulled pork tasted like lighter fluid, manager gave me an attitude about the issue. Very bad customer service. Very disappointing I don't recommend.
