Chambar is now open for brunch with ~300 seats. The menu is essentially the same as the Cafe Medina menu of old (including waffles ). So if you're looking to skip Medina's crazy lines ...
Great patio . Probably the best mussels in Vancouver. Never had a bad meal here. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Menu changes seasonally so never becomes boring. Portions are a decent size.
One of the best breakfasts I had in a while. It is crowded , be ready to wait in line and to pay top dollar, place is it cheap . But it is worth it.
Great place, one of the best brunches I've ever had. Place is crowded so be prepared to wait in line , it is not cheap but is well worth it.
The salmon waffle was really nice. My brother had the steak and eggs and I was super jealous. I thought it would be huge but actually it’s a nice brunch portion. Strong recommend.
We just dropped in for coffee and waffles this trip. On a previous visit we had a great meal in the restaurant . Friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere.
Great place for brunch or for any meal. Healthy and delicious. Casual yet sort of upscale , but more casual .
Steak and eggs were very good! Maybe make a reservation if you want a table for brunch at the weekend
Very fresh and delicious dishes prepared with organic ingredient tasting so fresh you would want seconds! Try the miso glazed tuna for lunch ????????
The menu effortlessly hops from BC-flavoured French classics to Belgian moules-frites. Also known for serving the city 's best tajine . [Eater 38 Member]
Congolaise or mussels in coconut cream, smoked chili & lime is what I normally get with one of their wide selection of Belgian beer . Their dessert by far is the highlight - amazing dessert chef !
Chef Nico Schuermans’ Mediterranean-inspired dishes highlight the best local ingredients (sustainable seafood & farm–fresh produce like spot prawns & morel mushrooms ) w/ Belgian beers & boutique wines
A vibe most representative of the city : highly sophisticated, yet laid back . A bit pricey , but the premium is worth it.
Breakfast was excellent. Got a booth and was able to converse with old friends without being inundated with morning chatter. Tea was good.
The Blue Fig . Oven roasted figs steeped in gin . Freeze &serve with a side of Danish blue...don't put this in your drink, nibble &sip. The sharpness of the cheese mellows out the figgy gin . Read more

Brochette de porc and dark choc waffle , with 49th coffee drip.
Great option for some great take out food during the COVID19 lockdown. Those are some spicy meatballs !
The waffles are an obvious - the raspberry caramel and also the pistachio sauces are divine.
The lamb shank was incredible ! Calamari stuff with veal was unreal and the chocolate mouse ... Yummy
Same brunch menu as Medina's, and they take resos! Brunch starts at 8 am for those early birds - avoid the rush!
Try the Vancouver cocktail . Outstanding. And the mussels are amazing.
Excellent for brunch , nice ambience
Such amazing moules frites . The congolaise and vin blanc are best.
Simply, the best service in Vancouver. Great beer selection and excellent food.
Obviously, the beer selection is Divine. But the Lamb Shank is excellent as well .
Must try the mussels (Congolaise ) the best I ever had even I dont usually eat mussels <3 but I love it now coz of Chambar !<3<3<3
Belgian fare, same owners as Medina. Equally yummy. Really good drinks & vibe.
Carnivores, get the Brochette de Porc!
Absolutely amazing! Chocolate pot de creme
So so good!! A MUST when you're in Vancouver
The mussels are great, especially with a side order of warm bread .
The foie gras icecream is mind blowing. Give it a try
Great spot for brunch with a leafy patio . Go for the salmon fume.
Must visit if you love mussels ! Recommend and will be back!
Must try Foie Gras , Mussels Congolaise , and Belgian beer . Everything is good but a bit noisy when it is full house.
The lounge is perfect for cocktails , mingling and cozy chatter -- but I prefer dining in the back (with the exposed brick and beautiful high ceilings ). The mussels are a must.
You must try the "Le Café Belge". We can't even find one that good in Belgium. Tweet me when you try it at @alextoul!
Stop in for the most amazing Mussels and pair with a great Belgian Beer . A vancouver must! Don't be surprised if you are seated near a celebrity.
If you can find a way to do the tasting menu , you will not be disappointed. I have had it twice and have been wowed both times.
Mussels are really great and huge portion size!
Consistency - good quality food and services.
I got the mussels for dine out and they werent as good as everyone said it was:( ive had mussels in belgium before and they werent even comparable!! Maybe it was just that day?
Very pricy for what they offer. Besides, I asked for a Paella and they brought me a Tagine . It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good as Jam Cafe . Go to the next door and you’ll love it.
A good chance to try some rare beers you're unlikely to see elsewhere.
The bread of the day is always delicious. Jenny never fails to deliver .
the Brunch here is another story! highly recommended.
Great place to get Medina waffles without the Medina line .
Congolaise (mussels ) was pretty good
Great beer selection . Incredible food. What more could you ask for?
Get a plain waffle (w/ syrup and icing sugar) to go for $3.99 - Jess @mini604

Great brunch pairing Seafood Crepes with very reasonable priced Champagne - Frank Haddad
Love the team members here and management. So friendly and upbeat, right down to security and the 50/50 ticket folks and hosts. - Krista's Photography
Very clean and well-maintained facility. Intermission drinks are a surprisingly well-organized affair. - Christian
