You can order just one of the pancakes instead of getting three. They are large and extremely filling. The mounds of pleasure was delicious with the Nutella and toasted coconut all topped with cream.

Perhaps Los Angeles’ most famous diner , The Griddle is a home for outsized pancakes and long lines any time of day. There’s a reason the place is among the best-reviewed diners anywhere in the city . Read more
If you get pancakes here be sure you're really hungry. The pancakes taste amazing but they are giant. I've had the scotch on the rocks pancakes and their steak tacos are amazing too!
Red velvet pancake was really only nice to look at. The cappuccino wasn’t good but the orange juice was delicious. Don’t see how this the #1 breakfast spot in LA unless we’re basing that on IG likes
Everything is good here! You cannot go wrong. Long line but absolutely worth the wait. The portions are ginormous but delicious. Get the sunset omelette or the red velvet pancakes .
Those pancakes were the bomb! ???? We got the black magic/oreo and peanut butter stacks and huevos rancheros for protein.Unimaginably HUGE portions . An order of a stack can be good for 4 people.
All rhe gd things said about those pancakes are true! HUGE and delicious!! We had the blueberry pancakes and added strawberries on top. Also had muscle smg, eggs and spinach , good as well
kind and friendly staff , “some like it hot scrambled” was delicious ????Definitely I will come again for the scrambled ❤️
The Slash was an amazing challenge to my ability to consume spicy food . But an oh so delicious challenge! I substituted potatoes instead of chicken chorizo and it was heavenly.
Best pancakes anywhere. They come in a stack of 3. It would take 4 people to eat them. Order one pancake if you don't have a couple people to share with.
Oh M G!! This place rocks! Everything we ate was awesome. It's a little bit small and it gets really packed so you have to be patient but this was worth the wait.
Red. Velvet. Pancake !!! The Black Magic (Oreo ) Pancake ....omg. every single pancake here is AMAZING and they are as big as your head so all you need to order is the pancake and nothing else
Great place for breakfast but be warned this place is packed. Park behind the rite aid. The some like it hot scramble was great. The salty tortilla chips were great with the scramble.
Very attractive waiters . I recommend the whole wheat pancakes (just ask for 1) and the Gone Shrimpin for eggs . Cant go wrong with the french toast either. Delish fresh squeezed OJ too! Love this place
Pancakes normally comes as 3 layers & it is so big. So ask for ONE layer only. Red velvet pancake was nice. Nutella franch toast was so delicious.
The food was delicious . But the service very bad . For me the best thing you can order pancakes . Note : The size of pancakes huge . For 2 people one slice more than enough .
Everything is great here. I'm a fan of the Charlie's Scramble, I believe it's called. The waiters are cute and hella cool. Sundays are two-for-one Mimosas ! Oh, and two celebrity sightings there so far
BEST BREAKFAST PLACE EVER! Downside, long wait ; but it's an indication of how good this place is. Come with a friend, share a savory and a sweet dish. Just close your eyes & pick, everything is good.
great spot to sit outside one morning, people watch and eat a great breakfast : mainly pancakes bigger than your face.
You will love this crowded breakfast spot next to the Directors Guild Building. Just don't complain when your expectations are exceeded - just tip your waiter well (he/she will prove to be worthy).
banananna pancake , blueberry pancake , kicking and screaming tacos . order one pancake it will be more than enough for 2 to 3 persons.
Loved it! Went at 3p on a Saturday & there was no line AND we got front door parking ! Mom's French Toast for me (incredible!) & Sunset People for the hubby (really incredible!) I'd totally go back.
This place was INCREDIBLE! While they have a full menu, when you go for the first time, you have to get brekky ! #raspberrylemonpancakes
Loved the golden ticket pancake ! If you can’t finish the stack but don’t want to order less, take home the leftovers! It stays super moist and tasty even hours later :)
Creme de la creme French toast and mounds of pleasure pancake and the hash it up eggs !!! Absolutely perfect!!
You have to exercise for a week to burn off the scrumptious peanut butter bubba French toast , I'd ask for less powdered sugar and cream.
Great Sunday brunch experience! I love their French Toast and lively atmosphere ! It's best to visit after 2pm when the wait isn't very long. Must come back to try their pancakes !
Parking can be tricky and if you don't go early on the weekends, you are in for a long wait . It is very tight and cramped inside but the food is definitely worth it! Can't go wrong with pancakes !
The french toast is a MUST together with the pancake , but the red velvet pancake its too much sweet and i hated. The service is very fast, i liked it :)
The place is awesome, tried the cookie French toast and it is crunchy, just a heads up. If you come with your loved one, just order one plate only, all what they have are huge sizes, we couldn't finish
Warning! Do not attempt to eat the pancakes alone. It's impossible. In fact, order two dishes to share among at least 3 people. The serving sizes are huge!
Get their "Black Magic" oreo pancake or creme de la creme french toast ! Make sure to order just ONE layer. Portions are ridiculously huge!!!
Phenomenal! Just Phenomenal! Go hungry! My graham cracker crusted cheesecake french toast was huge and a plate of Heaven! If I'm in Cali ever again I'll be going back!!!!!
A popular power-breakfast spot, the French Press coffee is incredible along with their enormous omelets and scrumptious home fries . The blueberry pancakes are to die for as well the staff are so nice!
If you want to order a pancake bring your friends or family with you ;)
After being here a couple of times I would say my #1 is the cookie french toast , then mama's french toast then it's not a secret anymore "order half portion of everything"
THE place to go for breakfast in LA. They have so many awesome pancake combinations...stuff that I would not even imagine doing w/ pancakes . Red Velvet and Black Magic are awesome!!
Ya know, you can order just one pancake as opposed to the traditional three. Three just ruins your afternoon. You're welcome.
On a Sunday morning, the Griddle is really loud : clattering pans, a hundred shouted conversations, amplified rock & roll bouncing off the high ceilings . Read more
The chocolate cookie french toast is to die for ????
Their Nutella French Toast is great. Also their breakfast tacos are amazing and they are a lil but spicy but not much
One plate of pancakes feeds 3. Try "tis the season." Best pumpkin pancakes on the face of the planet. So worth the looking wait to get seated. French press is great too.
Worth waiting in line . Loved the eggs the pancakes and the waffle , I can say best egg in LA
“Poached Y Papas” Benedict was delicious. Potato skins , ham , poached eggs , and hollandaise for days.
Redvelvet was worth trying,,, too sweet though.. I would personally recommend mama's french toast ???????? but do not have it after tasting the red velvet
Make sure to order just one slice of panckake????
The pancakes are enormous - see photo with iPhone to get scale! Very tasty but far too much for a mere mortal :) Good tip is to eat from the middle so you get some of the filling before you're full.
Queues out of the door. Buzzing and lively inside. Classic US-size portions. The pancakes are the thing here - absolutely huge. Loads of other great breakfast options too.
Definitely worth the wait. Go for Mother's French toast & French press coffee ... but don't go acting like Pierre & forgetting your deodorant!
Tyler is wonderful. Attentive, nice and sweet! Great breakfast and chili and cheap beer - Shane Morton
The cheesecake factory is amazing! Such a lot of choice on their menu! - Régis Chan-Haumani
Nice place to hangout with family and friends, many restaurants and nice street performers - Manal Al-Manie
Can't hold a candle to D-Land or Knott's Berry Farm in terms of rides or production values. Exception is the Harry Potter world which was very well done. Fast pass is spendy but a life saver - Brian Strauss
