Maguro Ya

Located in Kaimuki, next to Cafe Laufer. For Japanese food it's priced cheap . There is maybe 10-15 tables and a sushi bar . The food is tasty and the portions are filling.

The yosenabe has such a fragrant chicken & seafood-scented dashi. The Japanese poke don is also amazing with its bed of lettuce, sea asparagus and sesame dressing .

Get the sashimi teishoku and finish it with a shiratama zenzai , then take a 2 hour nap.

Try some of the "hidden" menu items such as poke , chicken nanbanzuke, vegetable nigiri (sushi ) & madai ageni (deep fried snapper ).

Great Japanese teishokus authentic and priced well !

Just leave it up to the chief. Everything is delicious
