Get there early in the morning and check out Clockers Corner for a good breakfast . And a chance to see the horses working along with some of the owners and jockeys.

Hand carved sandwiches forever burned in my memory. Fresh bread . The corned beef and roast beef are both worth getting. SO. GOOD.

The Frontrunner restaurant is great and the food at the Clubhouse Terrace is good. A fun weekend event . Make reservations at either restaurant . Terrace is outside.

Named the most gorgeous racetrack in the country . I am a native of Kentucky and would have to agree that this track is in a gorgeous convenient location.

In 1942, Used as an "Assembly Center" of Japanese Americans on the West Coast during WW2 before they were shipped off to "Internment Camps". Pictured below is a woman next to a statue of Sea Biscuit .

Now that Hollywood Park@is closed, Santa Anita is my track !!!! They were two totally different vibes. But if you want beautiful vistas and always fun infield activities SA is for you!!!

You wouldn't think that a horse track with massive amounts of gambling going on would be a suitable place for kids but check the infield ! My daughter loved the playground and they also have pony rides

The food in the Frontrunners club is fantastic! Had the short ribs today and the meat fell apart on the fork. The strawberry shortcake dessert was light and delicious! You also can't beat the service.

take one of the classes they offer on the basics of horse racing . it will make your visit a lot more fun and might help you to win some more $! They're normally held around 11 a.m.

Well the back to school event happens every year for the month of August for the kid's are heading back to school.

if you can, get a table in the clubhouse (not sure of the name) that overlooks the track with big glass windows . have lunch , enjoy a drink, place a bet on the ponies - life could be a lot worse.

Iconic place to watch horse racing . Get a hot dog and a beer in the infield and enjoy!

Spring the extra $15 for access to the Turf Club. You’ll have to wear pants and a collar but you’ll feel like a villain from a Bond movie , as opposed to the masses sitting in the infield . Read more

It's a really nice place. Though I have never been here during the races.

Pick up a handicapping sheet at the front right after the entrance. They're not sure bets, but helps to find common favorites.

Don't forget you can bring a cooler! Just no glass, and technically no outside alcohol .

Park @ the mall & walk through it for free parking

The infield is where it's at! Great park and pony rides for the kiddos too.

Go get a loge seat. Place your bet, grab a made-to order ham or turkey sandwich and a draft beer , then sit and enjoy your horse's triumph!

Don't feel bad for the horses! They love to run... It's what they are bred to do! Love this sport !
