Really huge park in the city center. Sometimes overcrowded, but in the same time it's very spacious , so don't take care about number of people on entrance and get ready to spend here few hours in row.
A short walk from Shibuya & Harajuku, it's the BEST place to unwind & forget the stresses of city life. My favorite place to escape on summer weekends. Completely mixed crowd. Doesn't feel like Japan.
Given the sheer size of the park , you'd never know how many people were there, but it's very obviously a popular spot. Alcohol and picnics are encouraged and there's a dedicated bike path for cyclists
Rockabilly 's gather at the entrance after 2pm on Sunday to dance to rock and roll, fun to see. Park is pretty but heaving during Hanami (cherry blossom viewing at end of March/early April).
Absolutely wonderful park . A must-visit—especially when the weather is nice. There’s always something going on. Picnics are great here. One of the best places to relax and people-watch in Tokyo.
The best place for a picnic when the weather's nice, we love sitting by the lake and chilling. Not too many people on weekdays. See dancing Japanese "Elvises" at the entrance on every Sunday!
One of the biggest park in Tokyo which located adjacent to harajuku & meiji jingu shrine (but there’s no direct access) if you lucky you can find costplayers who frequently gather in it#TravelingTokyo
Lovely wee garden . There are also public toilets . They have heated seats and are the most cleanest public place I've been to! It's quite busy because of the meiji shrine but overall still ok.
This is an amazing place to jog or do yoga if you are into it but anyway is a beautiful place to walk and specially the visit to the temple right next to.
Beautiful park located right next to JR Harajuku station . Meji Shrine is located inside and the inner gardens and worth the fee. Make sure you go to the well .
OMG, Sunday afternoon watch the aging Rockabilly dancers. They’re by the Meiji Shrine gate. Later, explore the park to see all the ravers, breakdancers and ukulele players. A beautiful, strange place.
Most beautiful park in the world. Head over to 365 日 bakery for some baked goods and go for a picnic here
Rent a bike or tandem for 200 yen and take the 1.8km course around the park . Even better in cherry blossom season .
Looking for somewhere quiet during your visit to Tokyo? You’re in the perfect place! The Yoyogi Park will offer you a great break from the busy crowds.
OMG Sunday afternoon watch the aging Rockabilly dancers. They're by the Meiji Shrine gate. Later, explore the park to see all the ravers, breakdancers and ukulele players. A beautiful, strange place.
If you're staying nearby, this is a great spot to walk off your Golden Gai hangover (or to just escape the madness of Shinjuku or Shibuya)
A great place for families, and for people watching . Sundays are when all the fun happens, and there are street performances , good trucks , and generally great people watching .
Excellent place to picnic and enjoy sakura in springtime. Lots of friendly people everywhere
If you are here not to play Pokémon, you may be annoyed by the huge crowds by the entrances where the Pokestops are located. Huuuge crowds! For Pokémon trainers – there are always lures here.
A great place to de-stress and have a picnic , jog, a good long walk or just find a nice spot to sit and set your thoughts free.
On a Sunday, swing through and see the Dancing Elvises (Elvi?) and wander down towards the Harajuku entrance from some Harajuku girls. Good Okonomiyaki from street vendors, too!
Beautiful during cherry blossom season . Nice spacious park . Avoid the tent city on the west side of the park
Get as far from Harajuku Station as you can. The Sangubashi station side of the park is so peaceful .
Great park that is filled with families and friends, especially on weekends,
Ah, love this place. It smells of free spirit and love. You can bird-watch or people-watch here. Come with a loved one!
Great place to take a time out from the busy city . The shrine is peaceful and beautiful, and the surrounding park is lush.
The park is huge and very pleasant to walk through. Away from the busy streets when you want to get away from it all.
Gorgeous park . Bring a blanket & a pink wine in Sakura season and enjoy the crowd. (PS there are no trash cans.)
An oasis of calm . Come here to relax from the craziness of the city .
Huge park in the middle of Tokyo. Good for a walk or just relax. Some areas charge to visit around.
Best park in Tokyo , and one of the best in the world. Akin to Central Park or other Golden Gate park .
Cherry blossoms are amazing here, it also gets incredibly crowded with hanami picnics , but it's a nice happy crowd.
Especially great on Sunday afternoons when there are lots of performers ...
Extremely crowded but very fun to walk trough, especially on a sunny sunday.
Come here on a Sunday and check out the Rockabillies . Also it's often when the girls dress up in nearby Harajuku!
Must see in Japan, great walk, lots of sights and far from a tourist trap. Thouroughly enjoyed my Sunday here!!
Street food on the south part of park . Loads of groups having fun and drinking under blossom trees .
Very expansive park where you can just sit down, have a picnic and catch up w friends
Big trees garden and shrine . Really peaceful and green. You will have a good stroll here.
what an amazing place to hang out when the weather`s nice. though it`s probably Tokyo`s worst maintained park , it`s still pretty. and the people can`t be beat -- a real assortment of young people an
Nice big park for a fresh air break when you’re in Tokyo. Convenient location near Harajuku
Really nice park . They do have sakura if you're here during the season.
The best place to express yourself and to drink alcohol .
Busiest park I've ever been to but doesn't feel too crowded due to the Japanese structure and discipline.
In my opinion, this is de most beautiful park in Tokyo , more than Ueno!

Come on weekend to see the lively park . People playing instruments, kids running around and lovely dogs! :D
Family friendly place with lots of different people. Sundays are when all the fun stuff happens.
Chill out in any season. Totally-full-relaxed park . Dogs allowed. Lovely place.
Beautiful garden and park to roam around.
Right opposite the Imperial Hotel. It is a beautiful park perfect for an evening stroll. We managed to go to the Christmas Market which was mostly a market for European food and drinks. - L M
Fantastic park, especially during hanami season! Google Map helps to figure out if it's a full bloom season or not yet. Crowded, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. You can see some street performances. - Elena Kiseleva
Beautiful park with a shrine and lake with a lot of enormous red carps - Magdalena Mrázková
One of my favourite spot in tokyo. Experience culture in the middle of the city. - Adibah Ulfah
