The Whittington is a majestic Grade I listed building, making it a truly historic public house. On entering you will pass the original 14th century door and walk through into a hallway made up of oak beams and archways.

First time here after renovation and it is absolutely stunning the food is first class and the staff are pleasant and very obliging will definitely be returning soon
Built by Sir William de Whittington in 1310 dating back at least the early 14th century then formerly The Dick Whittington. A warm inviting place with lots of history and character.
Lovely venue, but our large (20+) party found service to be very slow, with meals forgotten about
Brakspear Oxford Gold is tasty. Food on all afternoon.
Excellent food
Very nice food
It was good
This pub is massive!
Awful service, awful food. Could be so much better
Tired and tatty
Great beer and you can still get pints under 2.50. Gets crowded though so don't expect a seat. No music, it's a proper pub. - Gavin Evans
