There are plenty of places to lay/sit and watch the waves and people. Bring a blanket! I found some metal and other items in the sand that could cut your feet :-( Wear flip flops/sandals!

It's a big park with lots to do and see... I particularly enjoyed the view of picturesque Jenner from the other side of the Russian River .
