Incredibly kid friendly and a good coffee supply. Great variety of animals and you can always catch some sort of demo or info session
On a grey afternoon even w/o the island access there's still so much to see and do. Just ask my 4YO. Today we caught the Wagon Stage and visited the Dinosaurs .
Zoolights is awesome! My family's first time to visit the zoo and we had fun!Definitely coming back to see the animals. Worth the dollar you spend!

Pretty much everything is good. The zoo keepers are good at trying to keep the animals entertained.
Get here early enough to make sure you can see the Amur tiger demonstration. Very impressive!

Book a time to see the Panda Passage when you buy your tickets, it’ll save you the long queue time for those who haven’t reserved a time.
Fun zoo but it's pretty small - if you plan to come a few times it worth buying the members pass. Good for kids as you don't have to walk too much.
We visited the big cats a little after noon and they had just been fed. Very active! Also, one of the elephants is due to give birth in January of 2013!
Haven't been here for many years. The improvements are amazing. A must do in Calgary.

Went to the zoo with my wife, our friend, and her baby. It was a great visit and the baby gorilla was cute .

Lots to see here. The big cat feeding exhibit is awesome.
Not on the top of my list of best or favorite zoos . The gorillas are obviously distressed with a lack of stimulation and overall care of animals was basic. Importance seems to be placed on visitors.
I miss the elephants. Always so much to see. Love that big fat hippo !
