Shōjō has a wildly successful Asian fusion menu — in Chinatown, no less. There are dishes like a "pot o'kimchi" alongside a charcuterie board and duck fat fries with Sriracha aioli . [Eater 38 Member]

Great spot for tasty late night snacks , lively atmosphere , friendly staff , fun cocktails . Not a typical Chinatown spot. Get your food order in before 11:30pm (on Saturdays that is... ymmv).

Enrico Manalo

Shadowless duck fat fries are one of the greatest things you can put in your mouth. Love the reiko green & yakuza old fashioned. Fantastic bartenders & atmosphere. Wish the clientele were more diverse

Morgan McKee

Hipster Asian tapas . Very good selection (hard to choose), and good service . Also enjoyed the cocktails . Go for shishitos, pork dumplings and steamed chicken sandwich . Can actually skip friend rice ????

Lee Wilson

Where do I start? Fiona, the Bartender ? Fly. The music ? 90s hip/hop & RnB throwback. The duck fat fries ? No joke and then...the drinks. I've had pretty much every one...all bomb. Best bar in Beantown.

Vambah Sillah

Great vibe in the heart of Chinatown. Love the Asian American fusion. Really enjoyed the sesame flavored wings . Great ambience. 90's hip hop fills the air and graffiti fills the walls.

Enrico Manalo

The Reiko Greene, gin gin mule, kamehameha, fulong blood & sand, morning star, yakuza old fashioned: A+. The shadowless fries and tiger style ribs are so, so, good.

Eric D

Awesome sake selection . Ribs and wings and tacos were so tasty. That combo feels like I should be recommending a different place than this Asian masterpiece.

Stephanie H

Great brunch . Get the signature mushroo mazeman, park bao , and Toro miso ramen . Share. You won't regret it!

Brendan O'Neil

Cocktails are wonderful. If the Fried Chicken bao sandwich is on the menu it is a great late night bite

Giovanni Oliver

Good mixologists up in the bar . Cool spot. Favorite drinks: Jungle Fever and Mai Tai .

Winnie J.

Food here is amazing and at such a great price for the quality! Try the Pork Bao and ask for the Mexican Corn (Summer Corn ) - it's off the menu but has Kimchi Butter - SO GOOD.

Swarmer

Small portions of appetizers and entrees! Don't go thinking it's anything like Chinatown! However, good buzz, nice cocktails and good presentation of food! They've attempted to make it an upscale bar !

Logan Leasure

One of Chinatown’s best spots. Make a reservation far in advance if possible. Menu is rotating and everything is delicious (and a bit pricey ).

(Best of Boston 2014-ASIAN FUSION) Improper Bostonian says, "This is how it starts: You bring a cocktail-let's make it mezcal-to your lips, and suddenly you're envelopes by a nectarous fog..."

From its original take on Pan-Asian to eye-catching presentations and ambitious bar offerings, Shojo is a winner. Read full review here: http://now.tufts.edu/articles/dish-chinatown-chic

Only place where you can find BAO . Love it. My favorite place to eat in Boston.

Marjorie D

The Pig Bao and Duck Fat fries ate good. So are their cocktails and beer .

Benjamin Grønvold

Great place for lunch dinner or drinks. Hip place with cool decor. I'm going back for drinks.

Annie C

Get the pork stuffed calamari . A little bit of spicy tomato sauce , the calamari is like a light ravioli , and the pork is incredible.

Sofia Uz

Hip asian tapas place , very fresh and delicious. Changing menu . Very friendly and knowledgable staff

Kat Chen

A fantastic addition to the Chinatown bar/restaurant scene! The duck fat fries are to DIE for, and their cocktails are fantastic!

Yuval Zukerman

Food is excellent - especially dumplings and ribs . Very very loud . No need to talk when your mouth is full. Also only one bathroom for each gender. Beware.

Alexandre Munhoz

Outstanding service . Very generous Old Fashioned and these ribs .. omg!

Jay Henderson

Food is A+, rap music , Chinatown = Win. Try anything and everything. CREAM.

Phil LaPier

Very cool space and vibe. Only stopped in for cocktails , which were phenomenal. But will definitely be back to try the food!

Kat ????

The Mushroom Mazeman is a little bit on the salty side but it's surprisingly good! The Duck Fat Fries are not as good as I expected though.

Gianna Nebbia

Pretty sure the Shojonator is the BEST BURGER I've ever had with no exaggeration. Amazing take on the Wendy's Baconator

Cristian Löfvall

The suckling pig bao is delicious! It is a small plate , so plan to have something else with it!

J

Great Asian fusion in a cool setting. Get the favourites on the menu.

Tiffany Lopinsky

One of my new favorite spots. The ribs are a must!

Marjorie D

Pig Basso amd the Duck Fat fries ate both great. So ate their specialty cocktails and beer .

Kaitlin

Get their version of Boston cream pie with jujube berry and ginger . Absolutely delicious!

Nick Scott

Great spot for late night snacks and drinks after a show in the theatre district

David Holtz

The superhappyfunmakeagoodtimeagogo (the agogo for super) and the duck fat fries were awesome!

William Scully

Anyone who loves beautiful modern Chinese cuisine needs to come to this restaurant !

David Zhou

Cocktails , fried chicken , and all the apps

Stephen Purcell

Skip the greens, but the ribs & kimchi fried rice are amazing, as are the bao .

Gregg Berthel

Sesame charred greens and miso hungry ramen , a match made in heaven.

Brad Blake

Delicious drinks and food, cool atmosphere, with fun 90s and early 2000's music . Win.

Connor

Get the duck fat fries . Make them Shadowless . Best fries I've had to date.

Matthew Sheppard

Awesome cocktails and great fusion food. The Kamehameha is a spicy winner!

Jeremy Krantz

Duck fat fries are great as is their fried rice . Solid service to boot!

Stacey Furtado

The drink list is one of the best in the city . Explore new flavors!

Cristina Ruiz

"Shadowless " duck fat fries are a deliciously different type of poutine

Jeremy Krantz

Get their popular kimchi fried rice ($12) - it's the bomb!

Cristina Ruiz

Kamehame spicy coconut cocktail ! Yumm

The baos are pretty good. Get the pork bao .
