A cozy place where you sit around a fireplace and eat from a plate on your lap. I've had Gaucho and it was close to perfect. Reservation is required as it's a very popular restaurant amongst tourists .

Had ribs & steak . Big portions . Food was decent but the best thing we had, surprisingly, was the baked potato ! Absolutely delicious! Unique dining concept makes eating a slight hassle though.

We tried the ribs , steak and soup . Very good onion soup and ribs . I like their ribs better than the other famous BBQ place in Amsterdam.

Ribs was amazing. The place is very cosy, eating on ur lap makes u feel at home. The only thing is that, since u eat by the fireplace it might feel too warm. Wear something light :)

I accidentally found this place with 4sq, and I had to wait half an hour to get seated (on a busy Friday evening), but I had a chance to order the day's last black Angus ribeye , and that was perfect.

In the middle of the touristic restaurants and their "below the average" menus, Castell is the best choice.Must make reservations at least one week before to enjoy the best meat meals in the city .

Everything related to meat here is so good. The wine 's great. The salad is way below average, but that doesn't really matter when everything else is so good. Great service & atmosphere.

Ribs were great. Prime rib was a bit chewy. Place was way understaffed so everything took a lot of time. In addition, don't love the concept of eating on your lap.
