Excellent good although you have to wait for a while. The good thing is they treat their customers equally! I'm a solo traveller to the restaurant , and they still treat and serve me nicely.

Jon K

Kao soi is great. Mix of regular noodles and fried noodles with the curry is wonderful. It's just a walk around the corner from Chedi Laung temple .

Sertac Kurna

Khao soi-curry noodle soup (beef preferable) and mango salad highly recommended. If you want to try northern thai food , it is the very local place where you can find many dishes. So Cheap also !

Simon Opsomer

Great northern food! So many recommendations can be made here: ตำส้มโอ, ข้าวเงี้ยว and ไส้อั่ว were among our favourites. Extended opening hours (from early morning till evening) are convenient.

Pornrapee Abhakorn

Good local northern food . Best in Chiang Mai. This restaurant has been in operation for a very very long time. Thai peoples love it. Very good price !!

Foodtraveler_theworld

Very local Northern food with some flavor of Issan food too. The place is just simple with reasonable price, no air condition . The place is just for eating but not for dining with relaxation.

Delia

I had the Egg plant salad with an egg , Tom yung soup and papaya salad . Everything is delicious. Friendly staff and Nice interior!!

Sara M. Watson

Great northern thai tastes. Try the introduction platter and go for the pork curry .

Just Journeys

Very traditional and very cheap , with amazing food. one of the best restaurants , very close to the temple

Martin Kers

Kanthoke dinner set was good value for money . Restaurant looked closed at first sight, but has two entrances and the main restaurant is in the back, so you might need to walk in a little.

Paul Ark

Wide selection of Northern Thai dishes. Taste is good, but not spectacular. The meats are a bit fatty. Service can get slow when it is crowded , which it typically is during the tourist season.

Hande Demiray

Very Delicious, restaurant is in different places in the afternoon and in the evening. For evenings they open the backyard of the restaurant which has a more spritful ambiance.

Simple Discoveries

Good food and a really fun atmosphere , but the service is extremely slow and inattentive. Great if you're up for a chill evening. Annoying if it's late and you're ready to call it a night.

What's Good Here

It gets very crowded here but the Northern Thai meals are worth wait. Go at an off hour and be sure to try the fried chicken and ribs .

Andrew Choong

Pad Thai and Khao Soi . Flavourful and not spicy . Restaurant recommended by a local.

Max Koh

Our favourites from our lunch spread: aeb moo (like Malaysian's otak-otak) and khao ngiaw (similar to Malaysian's bak chiang).

Yone L

Authentic food, recommend the Khao soi and the minced meat stuffed in bamboo shoots !

Laurence

Have a lot on the menu but often they told us it run out. Some food are really spicy but the rib and fried chicken are awesome

Shaw

Big menu for sampling Northern Thai cuisine. Right in the middle of the Old City

Faye Cheang

Their fruit juices are not freshly make. It's just juice cordial. As in the picture from left : lemongrass juice , passion fruit juice and guava juice . None of them is nicer. Red ruby is ok, 20 baht.

Agkarajit Phanomvan Na Ayudhya

Fried chicken and fried pork short ribs with sticky rice and eggplant paste called "Nam Prik Nuam".

Kris Giebens

Lovely place for lunch , frequented by the locals!

Angel Dominguez

Lunch is at their cafeteria side, so-so food and always packed. Make a reservation for dinner instead, get the fried ribs and try a northern curry .

Faye Cheang

Salted veggie in pork soup . It's a bit salted, better eat with rice .

Kristen S.

Decent Thai food , pretty cool kitschy decor, good price (1800 baht for 6 hungry people, including drinks). Ultimately not worth the 20-30 min wait that is required without reservations at dinner time.

Guillermo Mendoza

Great local food! Everything was delicious.

Carlito Brigante

Everything is good. Huen Phen Salad really yummy and fresh. Nice ambient

Molly

Love the laab and the khao Soi here. Everything else is good as well . Place is not nice but good food makes up for it :)

joyce E

Fried Chicken , spare ribs and the northern soup / curry is a must try!

Taktan Takatantamkao

Local food not too expensive . Must try

Sen Chew Lua

Great kao soi and fried chicken . Sausage platter is also interesting.

Faye Cheang

Deep fried spare ribs are nice but cold. It will be nicer is freshly cooked.

Pirmin Schuermann

After long wait , we tried 5 of their most ordered dishes and were not happy with any of them. Very small portions(One piece of pork in the curry ) and most of them cold or lukewarm. Wouldn't recommend

James Ferguson

Lots of great Northern Thai food

Pierre-Yves Poisson

Lot of choice, very good food. Few tourists . A must

Ka Yi Ling

Fried pork ribs is soooooooo gooooddddd. But it's lukewarm only ????

Sahir Jaggi

Kow suey was amazing w chicken and pork , always a long line for this place

Virginialicous

OMG... Def try the fried ribs . No brainer. Portion's a little small if you are hungry so ORDER TWO!

Nick Campion

Khao Soi pretty good. The ribs had too much fat but tasty. http://theeyesofnick.tumblr.com/post/76934261590/chiangmaithailand

Faye Cheang

Crispy noodles curry is nice.

kwik.buck

Great Thai restaurant with OK prices. Kow soy only during lunch .

Monica Desai

Delicious Kao Soy at next to nothing prices

Faye Cheang

Tom yum gung is so so because not enough spicy and sour.

Sunil

Go for lunch , skip dinner which is a different menu and experience.

Fuad Huat

Spicy chicken dish worth trying for.

Air

Great traditional food . Try the fried spare ribs . Nam-prik noom and nam-prik e-gae are quite nice as well .

Jet V

Need to eat at unusual meal hour, for instance, if plan for lunch , should have early lunch like 10.45!

Jake Simms

Go here. Get beef khao soy. Leave satisfied.

Faye Cheang

Papaya salad is not bad.

Pat DILLIGAF
