This place used to be Cannons. Many a late night spent here - nearly 20 years ago in my youth! Today I'm having a (good) cup of tea only £1 - how things have changed!

Great service great beer selection and the pizza is really good

A football enriched chain pub of awful, there's shit all to drink (usual mass produced 4% fairy liquid) and it was 180° C inside, so there's that.

Recently refurbished. The same shit pub with a new shit look. Constantly surrounded by students who clearly don't quite grasp what a pub is. Cheap and cheerful and the staff are pretty competent.

Warm beers and rubbery burgers . Nice one. Dickhead.

Attracts a younger sort of crowd. There's a bright red pool table upstairs.

Some meals are part of their 2-for-£6 menu. Pretty neat for students - or people on a budget!

What do I have to do to get a smile from the lunch staff ?

Surprisingly cheap - two large bottles of white wine , one large bottle of cider and crisps for less than £10
