Opt for fish curry , "flood" your rice & dig in with your hands. After you are done, wash your hand only with running water & enjoy the aroma of fish curry lingering on your hand for the whole day.
Banana leaf meal was good, no doubt! But it's crazy pricing! RM8 per meal n I was charged RM2 for vege top up in banana leaf meal when it was a part of d meal! Need to queue n crowded ! X comin again!
their banana leaf rice & ayam goreng are super tantalizing. fish (ikan tenggiri) was good too but a tad pricey . dont be scared away by its crowds cause it'll be worth the wait!
The food here is overrated! It's just an average banana leaf meal. We can simply find any other better one in town . The fried chicken is dry and hard. The fried bitter gourd is too oily. Disappointed!
Rm17 for a set of banana leaf rice , with curry of your choice. You may also add chicken , fish , squid at cost. Worth the wait. Once finished eating, do give way to other patrons.
This is literally THE BEST BANANA LEAF ever! Their fried bittergroud is amazeballs. Their fried squid and mutton masala are the bomb. I love love love this place. Come early for lunch like 11.
I feel like a total fool for paying this amount for BLR but hey this is Bangsar. Vege medley was amazing nonetheless. Salted chilli is quite mind blowing too (yes it’s charred fibre but whatever)
Although it is very well-known for its Banana Leaf Rice , its Maggi Goreng is one of the best in town too! Must try!
One of the best South Indian Restraunts here. Too bad lunch always ends with a F-U very much as they clear your plates almost immediately after you finish. Its a small place and there's a long queue.
Fried bittergourd is really the bomb here. Is part of the refillable side dishes but sadly the staff does not bother to refill for us. Ikan masala and sotong goreng is a must to order also
Food pretty tasty and spicy . The biggest problem is getting a seat in this restaurant . Parking is horrendously difficult too! Otherwise, highly recommended place to have wonderful Induan dishes
Certainly one of the best banana leaf rices around. Absolutely adore their crispy ayam goreng , deep fried peria goreng and savory ayam kicap. Skip the sad looking and cold sotong goreng .
Service quite good. Their Teh Tarik is nice, order kurang manis if u prefer less sweeten. Fried fish quite fresh, skinless curry chicken tasty, fried squid and fried bitter guard too oily for me.
Eat Indian cuisine off a banana leaf here. Queues are a common sight at this restaurant . Go with their basic vegetable set and choose your curry topping at no additional cost. Open from 7am-11pm daily
Really popular banana leaf joint with easy access in bustling Telawi. Had a late lunch with a friend that totaled 43rm for two sets of banana leaf rice , chicken masala , fried squid and two mango lassi
I ordered the banana leaf with chicken briyani , a side of fish steak , a cup of mango lassi . The food was good but I felt rushed by staff to finish quickly. Also they don't explain the menu.
Fried bitter gourd is heavenly good. No plates here, only banana leaves ! Everybody will get the same gravy/dish so up to u to top up with fish/chicken/etc. Very pricey . Crowded most of the time.
The fried bitter gourd is a delectable staple with the banana leaf rice . Wash down with their smooth and very rich (and well made) mango lassi !
Haven't been here in a couple of yrs.Prices hv gone up a fair bit.Food's still decent though not d best in town.If value & svc r important factors, avoid cos u won't get that here.
Swear the waiters here are like the most efficient people on the history of restaurants . Helpful, friendly and super fast service ! This automatically makes me eat super fast too lol.
I patronised Sri Nirwana Maju since they opened. Their food never disappoint me. Food and dishes always fresh. Yum!
Boss is friendly , staff is good. Fried bittergourd and masala chicken thumbs up! I had to share a table because its really overcrowded; gobbling everything up mars the experience.
My favourite banana leaf rice place. Fresh, quality ingredients. Super crowd management. Their crowd management could be outsourced as a service in itself.
excellent fried sotong . fried vege specially the fried chili . tea masala is special. soup nice. masala chicken is a bit norm for me.
I oftenly ask for more fried bitter gourd in my banana leaf rice as they're so so so delicious! Best banana leaves rice in town ! ????
It's really, really good. Personally I think this is the best place to get banana leaf in KL.
Love the banana leaf here & the deep fried bitter-gourd that comes with it especially when it's crispy . Always crowded so you may have to wait.
I think few people mistaken the fried cucumber skin as bitter gourd ???? #stillyummynotcomplaining
Amazing food for great prices! Expect to line up for a bit but it is well worth it and the food will come quickly when u sit down!
Good food, I was there at 11:30pm most of the meat was finished only had chicken . To enjoy it you have to head there earlier. #indianfood
Reasonably priced banana leaf meal.Chicken 65 and fried cauliflower was really good!
Mutton curry , masala chic , fried calamari...one of my fav banana leaf rice !
Everything is awesome. Delicious banana leaf . Don't plan on doing anything active any time soon after.
The best banana leaf rice in town ! Love their mutton curry and fried peria.
Sometimes. We came here for the best banana leave in KL. Halal and mostly crowded . Taste memang tiptop especially bittergod goreng
Best peria goreng and i can vote here serves the best banana leaf .. Even though quite pricey
On of the better banana leaf restaurant and my fav is the deed fried bitter gourd
Used to be probably the best banana leaf restaurant in KL. Now its just so so but the food is still piping hot which is great. Try the fish curry
Banana leaf is incredible. RM13 for chicken biryani and limited. Really delicious though.
Banana leaf rice is awesome! Instead of deep fried bitter gourd they mix it with lady fingers! So yum...
Try to get a fresh batch of fried bitter gourd . Old batches or those fried later at night are overly bitter, but at their peak they are amazing.
Banana Leaf Rice . Sekali sekala bolehlah makan. The price is now too pricey . Can opt for other BLR- Rajus.
Queue was long and you can't make booking but the service was good and fast! Love the ikan goreng together with the BLR
High 5! Thumbs up for Sri Nirwana Maju. Best among those Indian Restaurants I have patronized.
The best Banana Leaf Food!! The "ayam kicap" the bomb n juicy!
Banana leaf rice with extra bitter gourd is a must.
A good cuppa lasi and a sinfully banana leaf rice to usher the cny new year.. Best of the best
Banana leaf price is on the higher side, plus they charge for extra serving of vegetable ???? Only thing extraordinary from other banana leaf restaurants was their fried SNAKEgourd.
used to eat here everyday when they opened, visiting after many years & the food is still as good as day 1, love it.
My fav banana leaf rice shop ever! Mutton masala is on point
the garlic cheese naan here is so good, nasi briyani is awesome as well, good to share so that you can enjoy both! - Tracy Loh
Roti cheese telur here is the bomb! So satisfying! Must try - Eddie Lee
