Come celebrate the end of the summer in the heart of downtown at the Grand Central Market. This quaint European-esque market is a beloved one of Serious Eats. Grab a reusable bag and shop on! Read more
Grab lunch from one of the food stalls , many of which have been here since the venue opened in 1917. Then walk across the street to Angel’s Knoll for a picnic with incredible views of downtown LA .
If you can’t make up your mind for what you’d like to eat, why not try a bit of everything? From pastrami sandwiches to pulled pork tacos to Asian fusion food, this market offers an amazing variety!
Need the loo or free WiFi after enjoying the market ? Use the Angels Flight to the top, walk to your right until you see a water/grass feature.. Keep right. There will be an entrance to the Omni Hotel .
The entire building is just well managed, it gives me everything for a great price, was an excellent experience, it's in the center of Downtown LA , highly recommended place!
Some of our favorite Market offerings include the Lavender Lemonade slush from Press Brothers Juicery; the BBQ chicken from Sticky Rice , and you can never go wrong with a scoop from McConnell's. Read more
Historic Grand Central Market is not only the place to buy fresh produce ; it’s the place to check out some of DownTown LA’s best street food . Go hungry because you’ll want to try them all
It’s like all my favorite restaurants under one roof. Get tri-tip at Horse Thief BBQ , a late breakfast at Eggslut (the Fairfax with avocado is an all-time fav) then end with McConnell’s ice cream .
Authentic and broad selection of Molé along with cheeses , perfect protein, and a fantastic people watching opportunity!
If it's busy and comfortable seating is not available, consider ordering to-go for a relaxing picnic on the spacious lawns of Grand Park ; it's just a modest 2 block walk north on Broadway.
Very lively place in Downtown LA ! Get taco with meat amount so generous that you will need two more tortillas to contain. Also has nice organic product and butcher shop available.
1st time here & I loved it! Bought some fruit & veggies for nothing & had for lunch ceviche tostadas & shrimp cocktail that was excellent. It was cool to see a diversity of people inside the Market .
One of my favorite places in LA. I love a good market and this one is too notch. Coffee , drinks, and so many good food options. Find the Papuseria and have one. Also, Valerie!
Sari-Sari store was awesome!! Had the sisig fried rice and enjoyed it. A bit small on the portions but busting with flavour. Goal is to try everything in their menu ????
Incredible food hall, one of the best I’ve been to anywhere in the country ! So many choices for everyone. The spot ‘Sticky Rice ’ is amazing!
You should expect a long line for the food. I tried the slut and it was delicious. Heard the burger was even more amazing.
If you're in LA and you can only visit one place, this is it. Every food stand is amazing.
At at Prawn . It was super good. Got the fish & chips & Thai lobster roll , both very good. The potatoes with smoky rouille was yummy.

Tacos Tumbras a Tomas gives HUGE tacos that are 10/10. So many meat options too!!!!
Absolutely love this place. I wish I had three stomachs so I could eat at all the food stalls . Also have a great produce section, their fruit is so cheap and always fresh!
Love the little produce market near the front - fantastic prices! 25¢ a pound for butternut squash :)
Giant "U-Shaped" line at 8:39 am on November 6, 2016. Complete loop into and back out of the market . For those in the know-this line begins at the pick-up side!
A little bit of everything! Great cheese shop , butcher , Thai, Mexican, Chinese, coffee , juice , Eggslut...so much good.
This is very likely the only food court you will feel cooler for having visited. Start with a coffee at G&B, grab some pupusas at Sarita 's and see where your appetite takes you next.
I think this is one my favorite places in LA because of the variety of food and G&B Coffee . And ranges of prices too. Overwhelming when it's packed though.
Great atmosphere, many good options and everything I tried was delicious
A variety of stands with all sorts of amazeballs gourmet foods, ice cream , coffee , fresh produce . A recipe for a perfect lunch adventure. Just come hungry.
Very crowded on a holiday weekend but great for grazers, with a little bit of everything, including groceries , coffee and a bar in addition to the food stalls . Check out DTLA Cheese .
Eggslut is here! Parking validated for 60mins with a $10min purchase. Sweet... Tough to find street parking :)
Large indoor/outdoor marketplace with food stalls and little grocers. Find exotic ingredients and delicious food. Not dog friendly .
Loved this bakery right next to Press Brothers. Avo toast with egg + green juice definitely a must ???? ????????
GREAT for food,my only tip is go 2-5 M-F at this time all the lunch crowd is gone & very lil line for any place. If u park next the market its not good for trucks of any kind,sm compact spaces to park
Who doesn't love the hustle and bustle of a market ? Nice place to shop fresh produce and have some great meals as well .
If you want to be packed like sardines and wait in line come on a weekend. This place is ridiculously packed in the weekend.
Cool open air market in DTLA with a wide variety of different restaurants across the culinary spectrum
Fun to check out and grab some good food; a lot of different options. A bit crowded on the weekends.
FANTASTIC food market - love EggSlut , thai street food , oysters and butcher shop . Really fab!!
Less crowded on week days. Have glass of wine at the oyster bar near west side entrance. Sticky rice Thai is good place for a healthy small bite.
There is a stall right in the center of the market that sells nuts , seeds, grains, guinoa, etc. Typically less than $2 a pound for rices and grains! Read more
This place is perfect, all the food and drink you could ask for. Huge diverse range of options.
Keep an eye out for free movie nights at the outdoor patio . Great place to get a bite from just about every type of food imaginable.
So many delicious food options. Great Mexican and German food . Golden Road Brewery is a must visit. Eggslut is tasty too.
Fantastic place where you can have the best egg sandwich and the best draft beer
Great place for breakfast , lunch , and dinner . You have tons of options for food ( American,Mexican, Chinese, Italian, etc )
Prawn ???? coastal causal for a paella ???? and a local beer
Modern urban market that eschews chains for more trendy food stalls . A lot of cities are building similar concepts. Atlanta has Ponce City Market .
Sad they kicked out all the old vendors . Its lost its old nostalgic charm with new trendy foods. Opens late during the summer.
Love the food truck so couldn't wait Grand Central Market spot, and yes, during soft-opening they offered lunch! Avo burger w/egg was killer! Oh, bonus - they sell G&B cold brew in a brown bottle! - Thirsty James
Perfect flat white. Try the yeast waffle with ricotta and house made berry jam—amazing. - Todd Zaki Warfel
The broth on the khao soi is bold, rich and slightly sweet comfort food that's a gutsy take on the dish. Pad thai is more of a no-brainer: The perfectly stir-fried noodles are the best in the city. - Eater
So many goodies! If only they were a full vegan market. Their open buffet is always delicious. You can grab a food and eat in the small garden patio just next to the market - Tugce Uluurgun Soykan
I like the fruit and veggie aisle. The cheese and chocolates are delicious. Once in a while, I get the pizza from there. :) - 다희 노
