Store 371 is pretty good for men's shirts . Yes, you can haggle shirts down to 80 RMB but I find paying 100 RMB (even 120 maybe the first time) gets you a better long-term investment
I pay 100RMB for shirts ...30RMB for scarves and 150RMB for cotton pants. Booth 261 has always done a good job for me. Being a copy shirt/pant and it helps.

Get your buttons at A-Fu Buttons, no. 381 (3rd floor). Much better selection than the place they always take you on the 2nd floor. Lots of horn & shell buttons available

Stall 190 are very nice, speak good english ans don't start at stupidly high price when bargaining. I had 2 qipaos made, great fit first time no need for altering .

Yes bargains can be found but so can disappointment. In general you get what you pay for (unless you've been ripped off). For mens shirts Jennifer (237) is hard to beat, 100-150 RMB per shirt .
shirts around 100-120rmb, suits with 2 pairs trousers around 600-700rmb, leather jackets 900-1400rmb... for my medoum-large build! ENJOY :)

Find Ray on third floor, room 349. He serves directly to your hotel room. Bought 3 tuxedo jacket , pant and 2 shirts total 1800.
My tailor has a shop there and creates wonderful clothes.Pay attention, not all the tailors are good, you have to know the best ones and speak at least a little Chinese otherwise you'll pay more
The guy at store #255 will yell at you if he gets your measurements wrong. Go there if that's the kind of experience you're looking for!

Don't use shop 301/302 unless you are prepared to come back at least twice to have it done right - and it takes a week each time. Quality is terrible so check all seams. Right first time - not here!!
Lowest price you can get on a men's dress shirt is 80RMB (they'll start you at 120RMB). Lowest on a 2-piece suit is 450RMB (they'll start you at 600RMB or more).
