The Bali Bombing Memorial (Ground Zero Monument)

The memorial is made of intricately carved stone, set with a large marble plaque , which bears the names and nationalities of each of those killed. It is flanked by the national flags of the victims.

The monument is where formerly stood Paddy's Pub , a popular spot in Bali before the bombing, which killed 202 and injured 240. It was the deadliest act of terror in the history of Indonesia.

Terrible tragedy. So sad...

2002年10月12日、路上に停めていた自動車爆弾が爆発。付近のクラブなど多くの建物が吹き飛び炎上し 202名が死亡した、爆弾テロ事件の犠牲者の名前が記されたモニュメント 。 犠牲になったのはオーストラリア人88名、インドネシア人38名、その他の国 から来ていた観光 客も多く犠牲になっており、日本人2名の名前も刻まれている。

Dulu katanya daerah sini paling rame dan paling seru,tp skrg malem mingguan di sini kok rasanya sepi bgt. Bar byk yg kosong,jalanan juga jorok+kotor+ada yg bau pesing.motor naik ke trotoar. Ga nyaman .
