Royal Palace of Brussels is a palace Brussels Brussels located in Belgium.
Paleizenplein 1 Place des Palais 1000 Brussels Belgium
The administrative residence and main workplace of the King of Belgium, where guests are received and banquets are held. Did you know that its facade is 50% longer than that of Buckingham Palace ?
Since 1965 the Royal Palace is open to the public from end of July till September. Go check Jan Fabre's Heaven of Delight in the Hall of Mirrors, an artwork made of 1.6 million jewel-scarab wing cases
What a beautiful place in Brussels! Take some time to chill in the parc, if you are lucky to get some of the rare sun ;)
The Royal Palace was built on the site of the former Palace of the Dukes of Brabant which was destroyed by fire in 1731. Started in 1820 under the reign of King William, it was modified in 1904 Read more
Every year the Palace is open to the public from early August to September and entrance is free! It's not the Belgian Royal Family 's residence, all State ceremonies take place here. Read more
No longer the primary residence of the royal family. An impressive room has its ceiling clad with the wing cases of 1.4 million Thai jewel beetles .
Love the cafeteria on the side, where you can sit and take in the royalness of Brussels.
Free entrance to the marvellous palace of the Belgian Royal family . Well worth a look.
Each year there is a free family science exhibit from Technopolis, in the room covered in green beetles .
"Why is this room closed? Is it a bedroom?" a tourist asks me. Now remember: the palace is not the place where the royal family lives. The palace is just the King's office where he works.
Can tour the Palace (for free) until mid-September. Did learn that the Belgium Royal Family do not live here, it is only used for official ceremonies .
Free to go round in August. Really interesting, beautiful palace .

A faire !
