Don't forget to order their charcoal rib eye steak & nankotsu karaage . If they have the uni sashimi as a special you MUST get that too. An authentic Japanese izakaya . Seriously, a hidden gem .
High quality food. But the each portion is a lil too big for tapas . Make a reservation ! It's not a big place. Simple n good quality izakaya food. Not bad.
Pumpkin zenzai : azuki, rice ball cakes , vanilla ice cream and pumpkin sauce . The sauce was light in sweetness. It's a lil different from traditional "zenzai ", yet fun and light dessert ! Good.
They have a great quality soy sauce from Ehime prefecture in Japan. It's mild and tasty by itself, not salty. It enhances every food. Great!
Half oysters : the variety would change. Mine was from Canada. Light yet Tasty. 3 sizes to choose from - up to a dozen.
Sashimi specials are high quality, but expensive and small in portion size. The gobo chips , tuna nuta, red crab miso salad and battera sushi are memorable!
Feeling adventurous? Try the Cod Milt, AKA Shiraku, which is a dish with the sperm sacs of male cod (considered a delicacy in Japan). Read more
Ribeye steak : very tender and yummy w grated daikon radish and ponzu I think. Good!
The beef tongue is a must try ! Best in town ! Juicy and thick ! Love it !
Spicy jyako salad : soy sauce/chili dressing , dried baby sardine, green onions , kaiware on tofu . Ok.
Jidori fried chicken is great! They will do outdoor pickup if you ask, but it’s not standard.
Great service and lots of delicious dishes to try.
Ankimo , skewers , small salads . Perfect for small bites for beering
Dashi maki tamago: the egg was seasoned w "dashi" ("stock" - usually from seafood like conbu and bonito frakes - in Japanese). Overcooked. Too big for tapas . Meh.
Beef tongue is delicious
Beef tongue : very tender, bite-size dice steak . It was a bit dry. Not bad.
Yaki onigiri : not too crunchy. Not bad. Salmon is stuffed.
Don't miss the garlic edamame
Pork Ginger in lunch menu is the best. You can even order black rice with no extra charge.
If you speak Japanese, you're in...
Kurobuta shabu shabu and ramen noodles in the soup after.
日本の居酒屋 。お刺身 はお魚 も牛肉 も、素晴らしい。愛媛由来のたまり醤油 によく合うお料理、どれも素晴らしいが、日本酒 の値付けが高すぎるのが残念
Get the beef tongue skewer and beef tongue soup. Delish! - Ivana King
Highly recommended if you want delicious deep fried tonkatsu. Don't overlook the fish either. - Linh
My favorite here is the thick cut tongue. Pork belly wraps are good. Yaki garlic. Usually a wait but they will serve beer while you wait!! - Oliver
Sea salt coffee & freshly baked bakery here are definitely worth a morning - Jira Ratchniyom
If you love Japanese food this is the place to go. The food court here has a lot of options: Ramen, Tempura, okonomiyaki and other specialties. They also have boutiques for mochi, chocolate and tea. - Justin Ordoveza
