Neat little shop/restaurant with an extensive and authentic menu (incl. cactus , tongue ). Order at counter first, they'll bring it to you. Great food but made to order and can sometimes take time.

You know that body of water that separates Florida and Mexico? That the distance this place is from tasting good. I have yet to find even a decent Mexican restaurant in Florida!

Best Mexican food in Gainesville . So authentic , so delicious, and such great service. The chimichanga was delicious. Ask for the green sauce ! Chips were fresh and guacamole was impeccable.

For me. The most authentic , family style Mexican.... NOT Texmex . MEXICAN food in Gainesville . The dining room is open and kitchy. Lots of hustle bustle and phones ringing for orders. Fantastic food!

If you’re up for hot, try the Chili Colorado. The chicken soup is flavorful and loaded with chicken . Service is always friendly and usually fast.

The mojarra frita is the entire fish ...don't make the same mistake I did -.- I still ate it and it was good so if you like that sort of thing...go for it.
