The Tennessee Aquarium takes visitors on a remarkable journey from the mountains to the sea. With amazing animals that swim, fly and crawl in natural habitats.

Great place! Lots of fish ! You can pet stingrays and see jellyfish like you wouldn't believe! The Penguins are the cutest! Got a pretty cool picture with one. They have six sharks too!!
My favorite aquarium in the US. Butterfly garden . Underwater walkway. Look out for the nook you can lay down in to look up into the main tank. Breathtaking!
One of the best quick trips from ATL. Stay @ Doubletree or HGI on Chestnut St. See Aquarium , Bluff View Arts Dist. Try a brewery ; dinner @ classic Southern Tupelo Honey or upscale Italian Alleia.
This aquarium is one of the best I have ever been to! Especially for the price, you are definitely getting your money’s worth. I was surprisingly blown away by the fresh water section.
Butterfly garden is interactive. The penguins are active. The jellyfish exhibit is tranquil and well - designed. The flow of the exhibits is well-done.
The TN Aquarium has great exhibits on regional creatures and puts an emphasis on sustainability and education . Kids will love it! Read more
Learn about the freshwater ecosystem of the nearby Tennessee River at the River Journey , then head over to the Ocean Journey for a look at the sharks and other sea creatures .
Been to many aquariums and this one was quite a pleasant surprise. Glad we got to visit.
One of my favorite aquariums by far! All wheelchair accessible . Many clean bathrooms . Got a discount with my Zoo Atlanta member card.
The seahorse exhibits are beautiful. You can "enter" the spider crab exhibit . Penguins are very cute . Nice gift shop .
we didn't expect there o be two buildings! we loved the jellyfish area and it was a really fun day. wish we remembered to get the pass for the year.
Best. Aquarium . Ever. So much to see & do plus great hands on stuff for the kids (everyone really). Well worth the price of admission!
Great place to see fish and wildlife from the mountaintop to the coast line Good for all ages Get there early It gets a bit crowded
Wow!! We never get bored no matter how many times we visit and we tell all our customers they must visit the TN Aquarium while in town !!!
This is the best of all aquariums I have seen..,awesome it is👌👌...it's worth visiting👓...
Make sure to give yourself enough time to see both buildings cause there is a lot to see.
This place is cool, but so damned crowded . The lack of spatial awareness from kids (expected) and parents alike was astronomical. Oy.
Love this place! The attractions are beautiful, the staff helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable ! Great place to relax and learn at the same time!
Love ❤️ the 🐠, turtles 🐢 most of all love the butterflies 🦋 garden ... Magical 🧙♀️
It’s a smaller aquarium separated in 2 different buildings. The employees are great, but the facility could use some expanding and updating.
The Tennessee Aquarium is an awesome place for everyone! $5 off with your student ID!
Free petting of sharks and rays in Ocean journey ! Free sturgeon petting in River journey ! They seem to surface after going under the bridge thingy! Try it! Awesome experience!
The otters, penguins , sharks, jelyfish and the interactive Ray exhibits are the best!
Get your tickets online to skip the line !
The exhibits are great, and the behind the scenes is amazing!
Always been my favorite aquarium ! they now have both freshwater & saltwater fish & more! A must see!
Members get 10% off off the silver & the gold medallions they sell in the machines so just wait and buy them from the gift shop !
Be sure to visit BOTH buildings!! The river experience is larger, but the Ocean experience is more up to date!!!
Best aquarium ever! Plan to spend ALL day. It's worth it!
This place is great! Don't miss going through the River portion of the exhibit - and allot plenty of time for it. :D
The green sea turtles are my favorite!
This is the best Aquarium around, and I live minutes from the Georgia Aquarium !
One of easy walks of any aquarium . All downhill at low grade slopes.
I must visit place in the area. It's also great for kids.
Lots of exhibits . Neat route that takes you through everything.
The Ocean Journey is OK. However, the River Journey is a unique and fascinating experience. We had a great time!
Watch the sting rays before you try to touch them: they seem to come out of the water at certain places, so station yourself there for the best chance.
The Atlanta Aquarium is nice, but you can blow through it in an hour or less. Chattanooga has SO much more to see! Lots to walk through.
Walk into the sea caverns! Look above towards the sun light, and view sharks and all manner of sea life !
A must visit....and often because it is always changing.
The otters at the top of the freshwater building were a highlight
Lots of things to see. Be sure to take both the Ocean and the River journey . Great family fun.
The butterfly pavilion is extraordinary. By far this is the best aquarium I have visited.
The great will definitely will be going back.
Did you know? The Tennessee Aquarium’s River Journey building is the largest freshwater aquarium in the world.
Really great aquarium . Expensive and large give time to do it.
My kids go every year and love it!!
It's nice. It's expensive . It's a lot of walking. It's an aquatic zoo .
A great place to see
Overall great vision
Super nice aquarium located along the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga. Note there are two buildings: one focused on oceans & the other for rivers. There is also an IMAX theater nearby. - David Reynolds
Plenty to see! Love the alligators and turtles. - Becca Churchman
Awful African cichlid selection, one tank with three fish - Andrew Proffitt
My dog is not easy to handle but the groomers always do great with him! He's large and can be fearful aggressive but they manage him very well. I've always left satisfied. - Melissa Foster
Jerk chicken, pineapple, and pesto swirl pizza. It's the best! Make sure you get Esperanza to dip it in. - Ashley Danford
