Squirrel Lake Park

One problem with this park - the few benches are placed right behind large equipment so it's hard to see the whole playground at a glance (and keep an eye on the kids easily).

Great park . Lovely playground at the entrance, a fishing pond with geese, a covered pavilion with grills, and access to the Greenway . Lots of stuff to do.

They've made some major improvements to this park . All new playground , bathrooms , a greenway and 12 hold disk gold course. They have a couple of pavilions great for cookouts and kids birthday parties .

Don't tell anyone about this place ... best park in the Charlotte area. Beautiful Greenway 's, pond w/ dock, and fantastic play area for kids.

Matthews best kept secret. I walked a little over a mile from the main entrance to get there. Nice fountain and deck to fish on. Awesome play equipment .

Another problem - the big kids' slides and monkey bars are incredibly high. Kind of scarily high even. Otherwise, great playground !

Great place for younger kids. backs up to four mile greenway .

Nice 12 hole disc golf course .

Residents of Ashley Creek have private access to the park via a greenway
