Smoke beef from the raw bar ;) and their extensive wine list is amazing - you can get everything your heart desires from champagne to sake to spirits + lovely wines from the region ! Superb place!

Sarah Anderson

Simply Amazing! We had the Raw tuna entree which was a highlight. The whole cooked John Dory with a butter sauce and vinegar. The salted caramel peanut butter parfait was also heavenly. 5 ⭐️

Been here 4 times. Highlights: New England lobster rolls and the peanut butter parfait . Low: they're not open 24hours/day(for u know, that craving you have at 3.45am when ya dream about lobster roll )

Jj Acuna

Casual dining rising to great heights. Asian flavours marry with regional ingredients. Try the Duck Baos and Szechuan Chicken salad with Umeshu spritz and you are good to go.

Shaun Mullan

Go for the banquet. It's $65pp and includes about 15 dishes (including the massive Pulled Korean BBQ Pork Shoulder which is usually $74 alone). The lobster rolls are amazing too!

Justyn Koh

Lobster Rolls are a definite must. Pulled Pork Shoulder is delicious but is a bit much for two people. Do NOT leave without getting desserts , the peanut caramel parfait is legendary!

Celeste

Lobster roll not fantastic for the price as you can't taste the sweetness of the lobster (2 slices) is more of the soft roll you enjoyed. Whitting macadamia is delicious and fresh especially sauce.

"Supernormal’s lobster roll . Yesterday, today and tomorrow." - #14 on The Urban List's 50 best things eaten in 2017 (Melbourne): https://www.theurbanlist.com/melbourne/directory/supernormal-canteen

Sara Taylor

Recommend doing the banquet menu - the table can all make individual choices if you’re with a group. Can also cater for dietary restrictions. Recommend the peanut butter parfait !

@JaumePrimero

Love the place settings at the bar . Everything is good but you must hook up the lobster rolls and an order of dumplings

Monika

First restaurant I have been to that offers a banquet menu for solo/single diners. Great quality and combinations, attentive service .

William Hanlon

Certainly well beyond "normal." Super crowded & mediocre service (at the bar ) but tremendous eats! Gnocchi-like fried rice & sesame app is a must & truly incredible beef bun . Will be back for entrees.

Linda Nguyen

Supernormal smash cocktail was a treat! A little on the sweet side though. Everything was delicious. Get the apple miso soft serve if it's available!

Little plates to share are divine lobster roll , prawn dumplings , duck bao but save space for mains -fresh and modern Asian fusion flavours

Ivy Ip

In general, food are of good quality, ingredients are fresh. Good atmosphere for friends catch up.

Jackie Fei

Such a fan! Grab a seat at the bar . Great place to dine solo, as you can order half portions of many of the dishes

Yondering Monkeys

Limited menu and everything on it is excellent so no need to be disappointed. I even loved the desert peanut butter parfait and I'm not a desert person.

Tomfoolery

They do a damn fine martini with their Supernormal Gin , the other highlights included the tofu crisp, the pickled veg , and the Korean rice cakes . Wagyu was good, but I’ve had better for the price

Tiki P

My top picks at Supernormal are the lobster rolls and the peanut butter parfait with salted caramel sauce .

Michael Walton

Cobia starter, duck bao , and, of course, the lobster rolls are essential.

themanwiththeluggage

Love the place, the atmosphere and the food. Asian tapas-style in a super lively environment. Recommended!

Mitchell Seaton

Every dish we chose we enjoyed, raw tuna , schezuan chicken salad and fried dumplings . An interesting menu.

K W

Lobster rolls , Szechuan lamb w/ spring onion pancake , apple & miso soft serve

Mike Brosche

Everything was good but lobster roll and wagyu beef bun were stand outs, great wine list and attentive service

Swemeatballs .

The cobia , pickled fennel or the smoked beef , mustard leaf and clam Mayo are delish

Patricia B

Their cocktails are as excellent as their food. I especially liked the Umeshu Spritz (Choya classic umeshu, shiso , prosecco ).

Kylie Burton

The peanut butter parfait . Also happens to be gluten free . You won't regret it!

Anthony

Bao buns and peanut butter dessert are world class . Loved sitting at the bar . Get there early for ramen

Jason Golan

Excellent food. We had to wait some time to get the table... but worth it! Highly recommend the lamb !

Anne Wu

Come here for amazing dessert ! Their peanut butter parfait is incredible.

Phil Nom

The raw cobia is killer, but everyone will tell you it's the lobster roll .

Brian Ritchie

It's not a massive food place but the whisky and liquor selection is fairly impressive. Good for a drink and business catchup

Natalie Bergman

Food was fabulous here - every dish was excellent even the wok cooked Chinese greens were yum

James T

Ordered 6 lovely dishes and a bowl of rice ... The rice came last like a special dish all by itself , go figure ! #aussiesdoingasian

Ting Ting

Set menu is a good choice if this is the first time you check in this place

Jenkin A.

Amazing food. Skip on the cooked foods, stick to the raw. Good whiskey selection

Ty Le

Amazing quality food, fine attention to detail. So good!

Meera Pankhania

Mushrooms and fried sticky rice is awesome!

Urbanlist - 50 meals in Melb: Peanut butter parfait , salted caramel & soft chocolate

Lars Ginnerup

Asian fusion in a modern atmosphere . Everything is good, but the food is not as elevated as they are trying to make it. A bit expensive for what you’re actually getting.

Renny Nanaiah

Food and ambiance is brilliant. Service was very good.

Christopher Brown

Nice transformation for Golden Fields , just skip the pork belly it's cold and more like rolled ham !

James Scarcebrook

The lobster rolls are awesome. Make sure to get some eggplant too.

Seda Koka

Dumplings & Bao and cocktails cocktails cocktails !!!

Nick

Duck bao ????

Vikash Autar

Great flavours. Only downside is that they make you work for the food.

Mia

The lobster roll and twice cooked duck bao were heavenly.

Robert HUEBNER

OMG so good. Everything perfectly spiced. More please.

Godwin Ip

Peanut butter parfait is a must

Giovanna Morandi
