Such a cool casual place , for the outside its a neon masterpiece - and the food doesn't disappoint. We had a reuben and a fried chicken sandwich with a couple of hard shakes ... defiantly full after!

Jake Tobin Garrett

The pancake gin & soda is yummy. The vegetarian shepherd's pie was really good and comes in its own tiny cast iron skillet . The poutine was just cheese melted on fries with some gravy , so skip it.

Lucas Picoli

Despite the neighborhood being not so awesome, nothing bad can be said about the food or the service. Truly amazing. Fairly priced . Definitely will return often.

Natalie V

Love the diner atmosphere and food was good too. Hard to beat a breakfast for less than $10

For shopping at the deli , check the board for the daily 15% discount . Or, bring proof that you're a student, a senior, or a first responder and get 15% off your entire purchase!

Weegee Manlove

For those of us who like "medium-rare" burgers , this is one of the few places in Vancouver that can cook them that way (they grind their own meat). The burgers are amazing.

Wellington Wong

My new favorite diner for comfort food on Hastings Street. Try the BLT or The Save-On-Meats Burger with fries & gravy . Reasonable prices & friendy staff . Ice Cold Coca Cola Served here. Read more

Ada Juristovski

Owned by Vancouver entrepreneurial legend, Mark Brand . Unique in that they hire members of the DTES for part-time work.

Eve Rickert

The sandwich window is an excellent place for a cheap lunch , but expect to wait a few minutes. Don't miss the pulled pork sandwich .

Francisco M

Our waitress Alysia, a self proclaimed food lover, was invaluable to the experience as she understood my whims and served a savoury meal. I will not hesitate to go back a third time.

Freddie

Try the chicken & waffles - the only place I know in Vancouver that brings you this Southern staple. Syrup on EVERYTHING!

The hamburgers here are simply fantastic. They also have a veggie patty ... If you must.

Wendy Chamberlain

It's a great time at the bar or anywhere at save on meats. Cool staff and inexpensive and good food.

Steve R.

Order the Lumberjack breakfast , but only if you're really hungry. Lots of food, but yummy. The coffee is good too.

Megan Harris

The $6 burger is delicious. One of the best burgers in town . Choc chip bacon cookies are yummy!

Lee Barth

Do yourself a favor and get the 1.50 cheddar rosemary biscuit breakfast sandwich at the walk up window, best deal in town .

David Decolongon

The cheapest burger on the menu is the best one! I mean you can't argue with $6 :)

Franta Vokurka

So it seems the big dinner area is permanently closed, they now have just a few tables, still have some burgers and stuff, but don't serve drinks anymore. Very sad.

Florence Lee

The banana milkshake is AMAZING! The $6 burger is small but filled me up, and love the sweet brioche-like bun :)

Rachel Ng

Not usually a huge burger person but their burger is amazing! Try it with grilled onions , so good.

Eve Rickert

Try the egg , ham & cheese breakfast sandwich for $1.75, served all day at the lunch window.

Andrey Onokhov

It's sounds like a joke but milkshakes here are amazing! Try it!

Irving L.

Gotta try their burger w/ a fried egg . Or try their open faced chicken sandwich with bacon added! So good!

Matt Chan

Their Peach Earl Grey jam is possibly the best jam I've ever tasted.

Daniel Roy

The club sandwich was disappointing, but the apple pie was all kinds of amazing.

Chris Wallace

A good cheap diner breakfast . Plus you Gan buy meals tokens to give to people in need.

Matt MacDougall

Howie, we would love to be serving beer . Please direct your anger towards the government of our fine city and province for being so difficult.

Order from the $5 kids' menu if you want something lighter but still filling.
