Likely the best butcher shop in the city . The lunch counter has a roast beef sandwich that takes the cake and daily specials that are ways intriguing. A Kensington Market gem.
Worth it for the smell. Walk in at the beginning of your dinner planning, let the meat guide the menu.
Our favorites are The Angelo, The Tandoori fried chicken , and the Duck & Pork meatball sandwiches .
Order anything and do it with a smile on your face - you are about to make the best decision of the day.
Love all the meat here but the thick cut bacon and smoked pork chops are a must for me
Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. The staff are awesome.
Around 2000, I asked the former butcher in this spot where his meat came from. After looking at me for a while, he said "Cows". Sanagan's has little flags w/the names of the farms on each tray.
Great selection of good quality meats at this local downtown butchers ! They serve hot food as well .
The Bo Sammy from the lunch counter is a little too salty.. And expensive at $10.75 with fries . I'd recommend going south to Come And Get It for THE BEST sandwich .
I love looking into the window to see what kind of interesting meat Sanagans is carrying. Unlike other butchers , these guys are nice, down-to-earth and really helpful. Read more
The finest cuts of meat I've ever eaten came from Sanagans. Fair prices , amazing steak .
The sandwiches were pretty good. There is good variety but I would suggest you buy one sandwich and share with your mate.
They make a small turducken for $30 for the Christmas holiday season in 2016. I might try it.
I wish the awesome smell could be digitally captured! This place is very trendy , you even get a serial number for your order.
Sandwich counter offers some great options for lunch
Ask for pasture raised beef , as good as beef gets. Oh and try the duck eggs .
Awesome service, butter chicken meat pies are to die for!
Grab a striploin and a couple of venison sausages for $20! These guys have meat for every occasion.
Simply the best butcher in the city . Take a look into the window of meat and talk to Peter or Derrick to discover what to make for dinner .
I usually come for the sausage , but i wont be caught dead leaving without their bacon .
I only have to look out my (1 of many windows in our Loft & can see into Sanagan's :D
Try a half dozen duck eggs .
Roast chicken sandwich got the win
All I needed today was chicken but I'll be back for some quail and sausage - brillz.
Yum, bacon .
If you like to eat this is the place to get your meat.
