Very nice and alternative café in Union Sq. This place used to b a bank , so u can actually go in and enjoy your coffee inside what used to be a safe and the tables r made from the bulletproof window.

There are so many drink selections at this café , it’ll blow your mind. I really love their tea selection and I usually order the LauRel sandwich . This a friendly neighborhood joint.

Excellent latte , fresh pastry and a lovely welcoming porch where you will manage to find a nice spot no matter how crowded . Great atmosphere!

Located in a converted bank , Bloc 11 makes good use of the space: The former vaults are now seating areas. The excellent lattes and espressos are pulled from the lime green La Marzocco machine.

Very strong coffee , which kicks you right in the guts. You will be awake after that. WiFi is there as well for 3 hours free

Try the egg and ham breakfast sandwich on croissant instead of the standard bread , throw a bit of sriracha on there and you have one tasty way to wake up on a Saturday morning.

Great vibe, friendly staff . Always busy but you'll still find a seat. Try the Vietnamese - it's life changing.

Love their latte !! Perfectly steamed and not scolding hot like in some other places. Unfortunately no free wifi . My suggestion: get half hour with a purchase.

I love Bloc's hot and iced coffee , but watch out for the avocados on the breakfast sandwich . Half the time, they are a little past their date.

They use Intelligentsia Coffee beans, grab yourself a cup + a bag to go. Slather beet cream cheese on everything.

Just as good as Diesel, but with a different ambiance. If you are more in the mood to read in a quiet space with little disturbance, Bloc 11 is more meditative than its raucous counterpart.

All sandwiches pale in comparison to the Pallet... it's that divine fig jam . Also, the servers are notoriously spacey so double check your order before you leave.

Really wanted to love this place. The place looks cool, converted bank vault is awesome, but the espresso was very over extracted.

This is the only place I go for coffee and breakfast in union square now. Their freshly squeezed Oj is so worth it.

The coffee here is quite good, doesn't even needs sugar to enhance the flavor. Try one of their specialty drinks , or have an iced latte in the warmer months.

Bloc 11 is great, good food in a comfy urbane setting.

Unlike sister cafe Diesel, Bloc 11 always has an open seat somewhere. Sadly, the Brazilian limeade (featuring condensed milk ) is no longer on the menu.

Their pour-over is phenomenonal. One of the best things on the menu.

If you're a Comcast customer, you can pick up the free XFinity wi-fi, and avoid Bloc11's silly pay to use wi-fi.

Expensive, no free wifi , but everything is really freakin' good! I'd be broke if I came here every day, but I will definitely be back

Curry tofu salad sandwich is very good. Bowls of soup are quite generous - perfect for sharing.

Chocolate chip scone and an El Diablo (Intelligentsia ). Works for me.
