The Concord Minuteman Statue

Notice the plow, as the statue indicates that not only were these men “ready in a minute,” they were also not professional soldiers, but rather farmers and men of other occupations first.

Statue by sculptor Daniel Chester French, who designed the Lincoln statue at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC and was a student of May Alcott (sister of the author Louisa May Alcott).
