This beautiful BYOB joint has some of *the* most authentic Cuban grub. You're a fool if you don't get empanadas to start. And the churrasco is a great entree to combat all the rum in your system.
Being from San Diego, we don't have BYOB restaurants . So, not only is that a rad option, but the food is incredible and the flamenco dancing in the back on Tuesdays is pretty cool too!
The tamale and cafe con leche is where it's at. The younger guy with black hair makes the expresso drink the best and I don't even usually like expresso ! Thanks for the awesome food and drink:))
Authentic Cuban food with all the flavors direct from the island . BYOB , but they will provide ingredients for sangria & mojitos ! Friendly staff and life music & dancing on Tuesday's.
chicken soup , cuban sandwich , steak strip, ropa vieja , pork medallions : all amazing choices. byob and outdoor seating , you can't beat it.
The chicken milanesa is perfectly awesome and also the fricase they both are a very good plates with a incredible service in a latinostyle restaurant
Great summertime spot to sit on the patio . If you can get a reservation , expect a long wait . There's another patio to wait on where you can byob . Skip the mussels and start with empanadas

Pick an empanada - any empanada - they're all delicious. I'm a big fan of the ropa vieja sandwich , as well . Don't forget it's BYOB ! Awesome sangria mix.
Excellent meal to be had here. Plenty of outdoor seating but much smaller inside. BYOB buy they have sangria and mojito mixers if you bring the booze.
Bucktown: Cuba is now open to U.S. travelers, but for years Chicagoans have been savoring all the ropa vieja and sun they can at this Armitage Avenue eatery . Read more
My favorite restaurant in the city . Cheap , filling and delicious food all the time. Weekends can get a bit crowded , but it's worth the wait.
Best cuban spot in Chicago. I have been to cuban restaurants in Miami where you expect authentic cuban food , but nothing like 90 miles cafe for me.
The Guajirito was AWESOME!! Fried plantain instead of bread ! The cafe con Leche was also good, and they will make it with soy if you ask.
Best cuban restaurant in the whole city of Chicago! I come here all the time I'm back in the city and I like to bring my friends as well .
It doesn’t require a trip across any ocean to guess that the signatures—like pulled-pork-and-plantain and “Cuban style ”–tofu sandwiches—will be a welcome addition to restaurant-barren Hamlin Park . -KV Read more
The pork and especially the beef were amazing. Even the beans and rice were excellent. Best meal I've had in a long time.
Obsessed!! Amazing chorizo and goat cheese empanada . Bring your own bottle of wine for sangria !
Why wait for your table out on the sidewalk when you can go to their secret back patio and order a pitcher of mojito mix .
The Ropa vieja is awesome! Desserts , sangria , everything is good here, but it may take a while to get a table sometimes.
Their Cuban sandwiches are definitely some of the best in the city . Try all of their shakes ! Great for summer nights!
Sandwiches are huge!! Everything was delish...cafe con leche is awesome, hot or cold. Took me back to mi querida Cuba. I will be back for sure.
Love the sandwiches and yuca frita . Get a guava pastry and cortado if you are there for breakfast . Excellent prices .
The empanadas are the best around but the problem is getting the order correct on takeout . Been cheated 50% of the time and while I love them I need what I ordered.
Empanadas are excellent. But beware of the garlic sauce with the yucca fries / plantain chips . Also, no free refills. $5 corkage fee .
Guy was impressed by the balance of flavors found in the fricase de pollo served with rice , beans and maduros . The slow-roasted pork pleased Guy. Read more

Amazing pork tamales , I was blown away...order it with a side of chimay churry and u won't be disappointed. The mojitio pitchers are a great touch to a BYOB dinner experience :)
Delicious steak . I had never had yucca before and it was fabulous!
Best Cuban sandwiches . The cafe cures its pork and ham for pressed sandwiches like the mainstay Cubano and the house special "Lechó n", which's stuffed w/ pulled pork , grilled onions ,& fried plantains . Read more
One of my favorite dining experiences in Chicago. Bring your own rum and get the pitcher of mojito mix .
Take it from a Cuban girl - this place is legit! If you want to have Cuban coffee / cafe con leche like it tastes in Miami, this is the spot.
Try the Caribbean coconut bread . Works best on less juicy sandwich like the pork , not ropa vieja . Delish.
Unique menu that includes veggie friendly fare. Outdoor seating is great and have lots of events ...
Delicious and cheap ! Byo booze. Bring rum , thy have mojito mix. Bring wine they have sangria mix.
BYOB ! Must try: Croquetta sandwich , guava y queso empanada , & breaded chicken breast with tomato sauce and olives (no sure what the name is and it is not on menu)
Was there for lunch Sat...there for dinner tonight. Love this place! Henry our server was awesome. Gr8 empanadas , sandwiches , ropa vieja , lechon , bistec ..all delish, juicy & perfectly cooked. BYOB !
Sangria mix is great so bring some wine to mix. The patio looks great for summer time
The appetizers , oxtail , and patio are all awesome. Get after it with the BYOB !
Ropa vieja was delicious!! The atmosphere was comfortable .
The mariquitas that accompany the sandwiches are addictive. Important: if the restroom needs attention, flip the switch.
Really delicious food. Best tostones I've ever had, and i love tostones . And the coconut flan !
Very authentic ! Loved the ropa vieja , the cafe con leche was very good! Can't wait to go back.!
Get the fried pork dinner . Huge portion of perfectly fried fatty pork . Platano shake is great, bring some rum to add to it.
BYOB and incredible. Try getting any sandwich on the sweet bread ; sounds strange, tastes awesome.
Solid cuban spot that’s a tad pricy but the BYOB adds a fun aspect to things
Only a few items ON THIS MENU from MY Favorite CUBAN RESTAURANTS IN MIAMI AND KEY WEST. I AM SAD! I MISS MY CUBA MOMMA!! GOD BLESS HER BEAUTIFUL SOUL!!!
I been to this place once and it has never left my memory...I have been dying to go back and today is the day I am so excited.
Listen! The best little BYOB in town ! It is intimate and the food is so so so good! The steak , the chicken , the black beans & rice ...oh and my favorite the bananas ! Delightful!
Avocado salad is fantastic. Add shrimp for a fantastically filling and light meal. Don't leave without trying the guava and cream cheese empanada .
