The world's largest military stronghold at the time and reputed to be impregnable, it was taken by German troops on 10/05/1940. The speed with which it fell showed how devastating blitzkrieg could be.
You can go for a free walk on top of the Fort. If you go for a guided visit make sure to take a warm jacket with you because it’s chilly inside
