Gunther's Quality Ice Cream

Sacramento, CA is home to Gunther's Ice Cream , which opened in 1940. It has a reputation as the best ice cream in ALL of California.

My fav green tea ice cream on the left and 50/50 on the right with strawberry cheesecake and strawberry banana freeze. I can't wait to go back and try a different combo!

Everything I tried. My first time here, it was the coldest night of 2015. The line was to the door. When I tried the butter pecan , it all made sense.

The freezes are excellent, with real fruit too. Beware the lime . It's especially tart , but good.
