Downtown Tunnel

Westbound tunnel closed Sunday through Thursday, 8pm to 5am; Friday and Saturday 8pm to 8am for tunnel maintenance.

Turn off the turn signal. You can't change lanes anyway. And try to get through without tapping your brakes even once!

The tunnel is closed from friday8 pm to monday 5 am! beaware!

Make sure your car is stocked with plenty of relaxing tunes .

Sit still and wait to move rapidly unless you're lucky. Oh, and people never can seem to drive 55mph.

Since I was last here in 2012 they started charging a toll , but have no people to take the toll , so they send you a bill for 3x the toll .

Don't even think you're gonna slide through here without stopping between 3 and 5 pm!

Please do the speed limit In the tunnel which is 35mph it would avoid a lot of accidents

If everyone would do the 35 MPH speed limit traffic wouldn't back up as much!!!

If you know your way around, take the High Rise instead. The traffic clears faster.

It is a tunnel , for crying out loud . Drive through it!

Allow at least 20-30 minutes if during rush hour.

Better than midtown tunnel .

Under no circumstance enter the tunnle on a humid, rainy day with broken wipers going 60mph! like i did

I hate how we have to pay to go almost anywhere out of Portsmouth.

Traffic is not too bad but if you can avoid this tunnel do it!

Go the other way!

Downtown after work traffic leaving the hospital isn't so bad at 330

Traffic here sucks!
