If you're not going to run the lake , do these stairs at least 5 times. You're body will hate you but your heart will love you. I incorporate the steps at the end of looping Lake Merritt ????????

Great place to add to your run around Lake Merritt or just take in some views . On a good day you might bump into the Oakland Fire Dept working out.

Can get really crowded during the summer evenings. Lots of good people watching

Watch out for the stair crawlers if you park at the top of the stairs when parking by the lake is full.

Stairs and landscaping are great.

Admire the neighborhood herb garden . And the dudes doing burpies push-ups up the stairs BACKWARD. Quaint!
