The catfish is AMAZING! Get it as comes with the fries and coleslaw . The sausage , cheese , and pickle starter is also to DIE for! Screw the 40's, I gotta save room for the food!

Ignore Jeremiah's tip from July 4th. Champy's is going for the look with the rusted tin and beer signs and posters. Great chicken . Best tamales in the east. And sausage and cheese just like Memphis.

Great fried chicken . Really worth a visit if you are in town . The spice rub on the sausage appetizer was outstanding. The Mississippi mud pie was great as well .

Fried green tomatoes are pickled tomatoes . Very tangy . Huge serving. Share with a couple of people. Mississippi mud pie is a must! Green beans , chicken , sweet tea .

the Tamales with Coleslaw were fantastic! And yes, I was skeptical about mixing coleslaw & tamales but it was DELICIOUS!

Of course the chicken 's great, but take a chance on the fried jalapeños if you've got a taste for the spicy .

You can sub out the slaw in your meals. I always get mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans with my fried chicken !

If you happen to catch them on a night when they have the low country boil, get yourself 3 pounds. Absolutely wonderful.

Not as good as advertised. Really greasy chicken . There is an up charge if u don't want slaw or beans as a side. The service is great but it needs a facelift on the facilities & menu for me to go back

The atmosphere is what you would expect I this part of town . ( collage area ) the food was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. To be honest popeyes chicken is just as good if not better
