Some place to pass the time checking out farm animals like lambs , chickens & pigs , and the historical buildings & museum . Educational but probably more fun for younger kids. But it is FREE.
This is the only museum in Colorado that is associated with the Smithsonian Institute. It's also free! One of my absolute favorite places.

Excellent trail for walking, biking and running. Concrete path but much of the length has a dirt shoulder. Can head south from the Nature Center towards Chatfield Reservoir or north to Denver. - Larry
