As real as a meat and fish market experience can get. Be an early bird if you come for shopping. Don't hesitate to ask for preparation as you need it for cooking. Basic Greek skills very helpful.

My initial thought would be not to visit unless you want to buy a large quantity of raw meat, olives , or spices - but this was some of the best dried fruit I’ve ever had. Sample before buying.

Traditional market - old school with all the shouting and whatnot. Has all you need for a seafood feast - or perhaps some homemade kokoretsi.

Athens' central market is your go-to place for fish , meat, vegetables . Try to avoid Saturday since it can be hectic. Whatever your budget is you 'll find amazing products. After noon lots of bargains.

Good for buying fresh sea food , if you you can ignore the smell, especially in summer. The fruit/vegetable market that is opposite attracts with the prices.

You can find meat, fish , nuts , spices etc at the best prices of the market . Not everything is great, however there is a great variety for every wallet.

Wirklich lohnenswert, ein Stück altes Athen. Es gibt viele Händler für Gewürze, Nüsse, getrocknetes Obst . Die Fleisch und Fischabteilung ist sehenswert.

Μεγάλη ποικιλία οσον αφορά στα θαλασσινά, αξίζει να πάτε συνδυάζει ποιότητα με πολυ καλές τιμες

Απ τα πιο κλασικά μέρη στο ιστορικό κέντρο της πόλης! Μια βόλτα αξίζει τον κόπο! Αν αντέχεις βέβαια τις μυρωδιές !!

Στο ψάρι γίνεται μεγάλη εξαπάτηση. Τα ακριβά ψάρια είναι συνήθως αποψυγμένα που πωλούνται σα φρέσκα. Και στα φθηνά μπορεί να την πατήσει κανείς και να είναι αλλοιωμένα. Προσοχή!

Τα καλύτερα όστρακα τα έχει ο Αράπης, απέναντι του, ο Πικούνης έχει φρέσκο Σολομό. Για γαρίδες προτιμώ φρεσκοκατεψυγμένες από τον Κλώνη γιατί οι περισσότερες πωλούνται ως φρέσκες ενώ δεν είναι.

Για καλο & φρεσκο ψαρι πηγαινται στο ψαραδικο του ΚΑΣΙΔΟΚΩΣΤΑ (αριστερη εισοδος στην μεση της ψαραγορας στην μεσαια λωριδα, με τεραστια ταμπελα)

Ο νόμος έπρεπε να επιβάλλει πολιτική επιστροφής. Αν ήξεραν ότι τα μπαγιάτικα ψάρια θα τους τα κοπανήσουν στο κεφάλι, δεν θα τα πούλαγαν (και σε τιμές φρέσκων)! Οι τιμές ανεβοκατεβαίνουν κατά βούληση.

Muchos aromas y colores . Vegetarianos quedarse en la zona abierta (frutas y verduras ) porque la zona cerrada es bastante macabra !

πάντα μια ξεχωριστή εμπειρία να περνάει κανείς μέσα απο την Βαρβακειο αγορα. Κι ας μην ψωνίσει κάτι. Μονο τα ακούσματα, οι μυρωδιές και οι εικόνες.

πρεπει να περασεις εστω μια φορα, ακομα κ για απλη βολτα!

Με τόση ψαρίλα που πήραμε από εδώ θα μας βρει μόνος του ο Μιλού. Σατανικό σχέδιο!
